Um are you serious? Of course they should protect themselves. What they shouldn't do is destroy community relations with fucking brutality.
And of course I blame poverty. Have you seen Latin America the Congo Eastern Europe the Middle East. Poverty related carnage everywhere Bliss

Absolutetely is. Three cops shot dead by civilians in 12 hours? That's a lot of funerals cops from across the country will be attending.

Glad to see people want a nonviolent end. Eric Garner was indeed a nonviolent man and was just trying to make ends meet to provide for his family just like the two officers were doing.

The women of Eric Gardner were totally spot on. Hopefully copycats thinking of doing the same thing, will hear these two ladies speak.

Not trying to gang up on anyone, but you know who says that type of thing? People who have no idea of what's going on in inner city communities. Because, if they did, they'd know that in almost each and every one of them there are comunity or religious groups working to make their neighborhoods safer. And they're trying to do it with little to no resources.

Of course, if they really cared about making those communities safer they'd pitch in and try to help. Instead, they sit on the side lines lobbing verbal bricks and voting to cut programs that would help.

It appears the NYPD have officially drawn a line in the sand: This is their new edict:

Starting IMMEDIATELY: At least two units are to respond to EVERY call, no matter the condition or severity, no matter what type of job is pending, or what the opinion of the patrol supervisor happens to be.

IN ADDITION: Absolutely NO enforcement action in the form of arrests and or summonses is to be taken unless absolutely necessary and an individual MUST be placed under arrest.

“These are precautions that were taken in the 1970's when police officers were ambushed and executed on a regular basis.

The mayor’s hands are literally dripping with our blood because of his words actions and policies and we have, for the first time in a number of years, become a ‘wartime’ police department. We will act accordingly.

And it's safe to say which citizens they'll be doing this too. I'm waiting for the announcement that blacks are 3/5 of a person again.

Pretty much it's an exercise in shifting the narrative. It's disgusting

Really praying for NY. So many innocent people on both sides are getting hurt by everything that's been happening..

Just another reminder how many thug cops there are along with thug supporters

A significant amount of those questionably killed and targeted by cops were/are black

The overwhelming majority of those who support the cops no matter what and mock these very killings are white (policeone, a forum for authenticated cops has been guilty of this)

    Let it marinate

Again..I'm not condoning violence but there's only but so much of this shit people can take, before it blows up in someone's face

It's tragic and these cops left behind families, but so did all those people who were killed by cops that will never spend a day in jail

it's a horrible situation. People like Giuliani blaming the President just goes to prove how absolutely moronic he is; he should never have been elected in NYC.

And herein lies the fucking problem

All of these dirtbags blame the public or the government for inciting the protestors, instead of looking within and blaming the police corruption scene. They won't even acknowledge that it's a problem in America. It's fucking disgusting and shows you why many people don't trust cops and their leaders.

For once I'd like to see fudy bullyani and that nyc cop union thug-in-chief say corruption is a nationwide issue and is responsible for today's conditions

Will never happen instead you hear assholes constantly saying if they respected the law this would have never happened. They won't dare touch the kid killed in his stairwell or the twelve year old cuffed and beaten by cops. That would actually destroy their bs narrative of the effects. Basically they want us all to shut the fuck up and accept our lower class status and that cops/anyone white has the right to rip our lives the moment they feel like it.
I don't know what's going to heal this but its not going to happen any time soon.

    Don't worry...akai gurley isn't being mentioned for a reason

He's the ace up the sleeve that we shouldn't really need, but can pull out if people continue to refuse to act like they have a brain

He left behind a family as well...they all did

Annnnd of course, my site addresses it
