Exactly and that's why I've always maintained blacks have it worst. Yes I get its not the "Oppression Olympics" but what can't be denied is that certain problems are very unique and in a game where your position is often defined by something that's not the status quo and can't be changed. Agreed. Black people experience this sort of oppression acutely precisely because our group affiliation is visibly obvious. Other than blacks, maybe Native Americans, but that's about it. And yes, Cameron and Ricky don't feel any of that experience, much of which is tied to being, not just Spanish-speaking, but black and or indigenous.

Stan Lee was no idiot when it came to co-creating the X-Men. The issues of mutants and human beings had parallels of the Civil Rights Movement, like Leiji Matsumoto used the U.S. occupation in post war Japan as a model for Captain Phantom F. Harlock. However, the mutants had the advantage(if they had the courage to understand and use their abilities). Everyone can relate to the issue of being different. It took me a while back in the days to understand what they were all about. When the first film came out, I had developed a great deal of respect for them.
