I remember developing an attraction to Asian women at an early age(thanks in part to the Godzilla movies). My friends laughed at me. They told me that I have to go far to do that. I have met a lot of Asians over the years. Be they from China, Japan, Korea, The Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. I met a lot of them in college. I have even met a few Germans, Latino/Hispanic, French, French Canadian, Dutch, the list goes on. The first time I met a woman from Russia was in 1984, she had the face of an angel and was as big as a bear. Her family emigrated to the U.S. and her father was still afraid that the KGB would pay them a visit in the early morning hours even in this country. I didn't think it was possible to date or even marry a woman from Eastern Europe. But it is if you are either wealthy or military(military seems more favorable). And looks don't hurt, either. I think that these men who visit Eastern Europe to find a wife believe that western women are not as sincere as the women in these and other countries. These men have other agendas than marriage like arm candy status(builds up his ego), male dominance, children because he is usually a couple of decades older(older men are favored for their experiences and worldview) and wants to have another family with another woman(if he is divorced and has older children not living in the home). I'm not sure if I would want to visit Russia/Ukraine now. The women are smart and beautiful but, even if things were great with the correspondence, Skype/cam chats and phone calls, I guess if she was really sincere, she would have to be the one who makes the journey on her own to see me. Or at least meet me half way.
