Trump needs to go away. He has zero chance of becoming President despite his poll numbers and he needs to NOT run as an Independent. If he does, he'll pull another H. Ross Perot and hand the election to the Democrats. I like that Trump is "telling it like it is" and it's something this country definitely needs, but it's not very Presidential and he'd make a horrific President.
Trump is certainly telling it like "he" sees it, not sure that is how things really are. He is a showman and a self-promoter first and foremost. His bombast and bluster must give way to actual tangible plans that he communicates in detail as to how he would change things for him to have a chance. The "sheeple/useful idiots" that have him leading in the polls for now are just going on emotion, responding to his so called "tough talk". Should be interesting to see how this all plays out. IMO at 1:04 below is proof of the typical Trump supporter ("dont bother me with facts or logic or reason, I like Trump")
Numbers are in... 24 million households watched from start to finish. Of those, almost 8 million were Fox News advertisers prime demographic target, 18-34 yr old. (John Stewart's final show pulled in 3.4 million viewers.)
Agree kasich did very well, he is pretty smart, he pulled the Regan crowd, reached to LGBT community, reached to religious folks, also reached to Trump while scoring political point.... He just jumped on the race like a week ago I agree Bush tried to reach to minorities but did not perform that great I think Fiorna from the other debate might be the break out star
This debate pretty much confirmed what I thought about Trump to begin with: all rage, no substance. Zero. He didn't actually answer any of the moderator's questions with any kind of details or specifics because he doesn't have any. "Being mad about shit" isn't a political platform at all. He's way out of his depth when it comes to knowledge on any issue, foreign or domestic. The only candidate on that stage who really seemed like he had a clue about anything was Marco Rubio. He was clear, he was consistent, he spoke forcefully about his ideas, and seeing as how some of the other candidates had done this more than he has, he looked like he belonged on that stage last night. There's a snowball's chance in hell that I'd ever vote for him but I was pretty impressed at the way he handled himself.
I still say that he is trolling the hell out of all of us. I think that part of the reason he looked so bad last night is because the moderators came at him, guns blazing, with the first round of questions. It's pretty obvious that Fox doesn't want Trump to be the nominee. I also want to add that John Kasich impressed me a lot more than I expected. In a sane, rational world he'd be a top-tier candidate but since the inmates run the asylum, he's stuck in the back of the pack.
Exactly on all points. Look at how they booted john huntsman in the primary in the last prez election. This dude was an ambassador and a governor and he couldnt get pass the primary...? Wtf?
I dunno. I should have had a sip, lol. It just looked like cold hot chocolate with whipped cream on top.
While l agree Trump will fizzle out, stranger things have happened. It would be insanely chaotic if he won, with many on both sides suffering meltdowns. I think Flaming called this correctly though...he said Trump is d a plant, deliberately inciting to stir the Left. In fact, a couple of Conservative talk hosts have also suggested he is playing to merely split the vote for Hillary.
I used to think that myself but then I asked myself why would he do that? I mean, is he so close to Hillary Clinton that he'd spend potentially tens of millions of dollars just to make the GOP start cannibalizing itself? I mean, it's possible but spending all this time, money, and effort just to help someone out when he could be doing something else...does that really sound like Trump? Everything he does is for himself and no one else. He isn't inciting the left, though. Judging from the debate last night, the GOP is terrified that he's going to make their lives hell for the next year but that isn't even the biggest problem. Republicans should be asking themselves why Trump is so popular with their voters. The fact that he's polling higher than current governors, former governors, senators, and a even a neurosurgeon (!) says pretty bad things about modern-day conservativism.
Doubt that Trumph is a plant, he doesn't play others games, ever. He has his own agenda and by the looks of things, he isn't stirrings the "left" as you call it, but rather the conservatives his comments about whom he gave money and calling favors back was hilarious he is only doing damage to the conservatives, and its quite embarrassing. I doubt he is a democrat and I doubt he is serious. He is probably laughing all the way to the bank. I may have misunderstood your post?
Reagan had experience in government. The very thing that no matter what party you are from you'll more than likely pick from. No coincidence the most beloved presidents had experience in government.
