I was in high school from 84-88 (yeah, telling my age, lol). I was listening to Prince - Purple Rain was the shit, loved (& still do) Anita Baker - Same ole love. Also listened to Chicago & Lionel Ritchie. Salt n Pepa was good too. The teen years were pretty good & I was very straight-arrow (strict Pentecostal upbringing, good girl all the way). 88-92 were the early college years & that's a completely differnt story... :smt103
