But if you're in love with one person, then you should have enough respect for them not to act on lust with another. Lust is nothing. Lust disappears.
Well, then that's what open relationships are for. Going into a relationship with someone who believes in being faithful if you don't share those views is quite unfair.
What I said wasn't a personal attack on you. It's got nothing to do with 'the norm.' For some people, open relationships are normal, for others not, I'm just saying that people who cannot be in a monogamous relationships shouldn't be with people who can.
And I'M just saying who are we to say who should and should not do what? It's really none of my business what other people do, nor is it theirs what I do.
I don't think Russia is trying to say that what people do should be other people's business, I think what she's getting at is that the person you are in a relationship with has a right to know if you are screwing around with other people. I personally don't care what other people do in their relationships, nor is what I do anyone's business but my own, however if I'm in a relationship and we have an understanding that it's monogamous, that goes for both of us. At that point who he's screwing besides me is very much my business. Like Russia pointed out, if you aren't interested in monogamy, that's something you need to be upfront about in the beginning. All's fair as long as both parties know the rules going in.
Opinions are good! People may not always agree with you, but that's the whole point for me, I like to see the diversity in how people think, sometimes it makes me reconsider my own POV.
That's def not the norm, but I think as long as you and the person you are in the relationship with are ok with it, who is anyone else to judge? Monogamous(?) relationships aren't for everyone. Just be upfront about what you want/desire in it. If the other party doesn't like it, they have evey oppurtunity to leave. That said, I prefer a one on one relationship. I don't share my men to easily.
Cheating maybe wrong but can be many reason why people may cheat, i know most people say if this does not work why be together and cheat .. but sometimes you need to be on other people shoes to understand I talk with people sometimes joke maybe gave few pictures some may find this cheating but i didnt go out and had sex with other people .. so for some this still can be cheating for me its not.. sometimes having many problems can make you do a lot .. maybe a way of forgeting your problems sometimes or trying to lie to yourself everything ok .. who know i may cheat one day maybe i wont .. and no i wont say it not wrong but like i said sometimes you do a lot when life can be hard.. only i find it very wrong when people say love they partner and go and cheat and care only for sex and be selfish..
Estimates are that @ 50% of people in relationships cheat. Reviewing this thread it appears that the responses are running about 50/50, so looks pretty accurate to me. :smt102 Of course not everyone defines cheating the same. I tend to go with Nyx's opinion on this. I wouldn't consider it cheating unless there was physical contact.
