Yes this is all true, swirl made a very salient point also. My intention is just to push the boundries of the assumed cultural norms in the arguments a bit. Just a pc way of saying shit stirring. Thanks for rep TdK
TP, we can agree, as I stated in my first post, that in case of an illness or other tragedy, that falls under "for better or worse" in the marriage vows, and in my opinion it means that a person should stick by their spouse. I most certainly was not promoting the idea that either spouse must not ever show signs of aging as the years progress. My point in my original post was that it is not immature or unreasonable for a spouse to expect their mate to continue to do all they can nutrition and physical fitness wise, as the years go by, for both the aesthetic and health benefits they can bring to the relationship.
Interesting note, according to some personal business associates/friends of mine who live in Utah and are Mormon, the primary reason the church got rid of polygamy was that it was a condition set forth by the government for the state of Utah to be admitted to the union. They claim that the church still feels that polygamy is indeed a divine right, but that it is just not practical to practice at this point in time, should a time come when they feel it is a viable option from a political standpoint, they would have no problem teaching it as doctrine again. I was a bit shocked on my initial visits to Salt Lake to find that there is a small minority yet statistically significant number of households within Utah that are indeed still quietly practicing polygamy, the local authorities know who they are but pretty much turn a blind eye as long as they are not blatant.

But some married men cheat w/random women. I think the reasons why people cheat are as individual as the person. I don't know - I was faithful.
Regardless of whatever excuse used to "explain" it, the simple truth is that people cheat because they want to.
Men cheat for the same reason that Women cheat. BECAUSE THEY ARE SELFISH (This is only in regards to the men and women who cheat not everyone). Everyone has an excuse for what they do. But, the truth is, it is all about "Them". What they want and so on.
very simple i dont care why someone cheat not my problem.. and what is cheat this days anyways? hmm some people will think i cheat because am here, or because of the pics i posted... but all come down that everyone have a different opinion as to what right and wrong
You have a point. So this thread should be "Why do men f@%k other women"? But that's a matter of opinion also. Some can deal with their man sexing a woman oppose to getting that emotional attachment. Hmmm,, but if you combine b4k, LAW, & Tam's responses,,, that might be the answer: women except it/partake themselves, everyone's selfish and engage at will. Who knows. I'm sleepy. G'night. Lol
It's a selfish act yes. Sometimes motivated by not getting needs met with in a marriage. Which can be a selfishly motivated act on the part of the other spouse. There are many different types of infidelity as well. Having sex is only one example
I've cheated on a boyfriend before and from a female perspective on this topic I can honestly say I did it purely out of...... wanting both people. In my mind it was like "whatcha don't know won't hurt you... and i'm gonna get mine". I'd say as a general consensus that most people don't cheat as a malicious act so much as simply fulfilling a selfish desire. I'm not saying it's not wrong. It is. I would never want to do something like that these days because I love my boyfriend, don't really having any unsatisfying feelings, and genuinely care about the relationship... I think it's a maturity thing, really. Hedonism. Either way, I think it's a pretty funny stigma that men cheat more then women. False. Women can get laid much easier then any man and are much better at manipulating the situation and most of all.... pulling it off.
