Was wondering if anyone would care to share what their favourite radio station(s) are. Just discovered that my T Hub can live stream any radio station from around the world, which excites me no end (radio 1 breakfast here I come). My end, Nova 100.3 here in Melbourne is my go to. Great breakfast and drive time teams that make me snort
npr :smt043 93.1 fm in miami The best on npr is on point with tom I don't like diana but it is better than nothing.
I listen to KFI 640 am in my car - and I spend a LOT of time in there. Tim Conway Jr. John and Ken. Listen to that douche Rush for giggles sometimes and Coast to Coast for the pure entertainment value. NPR Click and Clack (quitting bah), wait wait dont tell me etc then Satellite radio music.
Local Sports radio (WIP) is my main one, then ESPN radio, followed by Fresh Air on NPR and 12.10 Talk and then radio shows on WDAS (from Steve Harvey in the morning to Michael Baisden in the afternoon to Tom Joyner (Tom only some mornings, used to a lot though).
I LOVE COAST TO COAST! Are you kidding me! My sweetie teases me I wear a tin-foil hat when I excitedly recite some of the shows. :smt080
It's where they play Flo Rida. KDAY 93.5 FM The first radio station in the world that played hip-hop 24 hours a day. JACK-FM 93.1 FM For all the white people music from the 80s. Remember skinny ties? KPFK 90.7 FM Left-wing news and views.
In Melb, I listened to 3RRR..ahhh memories...(I also hosted an overnight music show on 3CR for 2yrs) But speaking of wild breakfast shows, you reminded me when one Melb station did a Phoney Phone-call to me at my work. They got me real good :smt037 and I still have the recording to this day. .
1. NPR - I listen to this almost exclusively when I'm on the road. It provides some real good entertainment and well, I should start donating when they do the donating drive. Besides, the local radio station who broadcasts with NPR is right on my university campus. Favorites: All Things Considered, This American Life, Car Talk, Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me, Left-Right-Center, On The Media, The World, On-Point 2. WRBH - It's basically a radio station geared towards those who are blind or print-handicapped, but even if you're not one or the other, you can still listen to the shows, but they are mainly made up of people reading various books or magazines. The downside is that you cannot choose or pick your favorites.
98.5 The Ocean- I love listening to music from the 90's and 80's whenever I'm super bored or working on something 107.3 QFM- Radio Drama and poetry readings are my weakness lol I listen to this when I'm alone and relaxing.
In the mornings, I tune into the Kane Show Hot 99.5 ~ their Kane Scams and War of the Roses have me in stitches on my way into work. Flip back n forth from that and Steve Harvey on WHUR 96.3 Going home, sometimes I listen to the Michael Baisden show. If I listen at night, I like the Sweat Hotel (Keith Sweat) to listen to quiet, smooth and sexy R&B
Sometimes it's hard to get a good signal around here, but there are a few that I listen to on occasion. The only stations that always come in clearly are the Spanish ones. KRNB105.7 Mostly R&B and on Fridays on the Steve Harvey morning show they play old school funk (as far as the morning show goes, the only good part is the Friday funk mix & the Strawberry Letter reading & advice...he is NOT as funny as he thinks he is). The station also has a "Quiet Storm" show at night that's not bad. This station usually comes in better than the others. K104 R&B and hip hop. I used to listen to this one a lot back in the day, but now they play too much garbage (like Drake and Lil' Wayne :vom. Now I only listen if I'm flipping through & hear something I like playing. I used to love their morning show with Skip Murphy, Nanette Lee, and Sam Putney...I lived in west Texas about 15 years ago and worked at a sewing factory where we were allowed to wear our headphones while working, and they got me going and kept me laughing every morning. It was weird how I got good reception that far away from Dallas and shit barely comes in here. 100.3 Jack FM They play a little bit of everything...rock, funk, r&b, etc. 103.7 Lite FM I hear things I like on occasion when flipping through. Mostly lite rock. 94.9KLTY Christian music & talk. Satellite Radio on DTV I listen to sometimes: The Boombox (846) Old school Rap & Hip Hop. Hot Jams (825) Hip Hop and R&B from the late 80's to now. Old School Funk (844) Classic R&B (842) Silky Soul (843) R&B. Retro Disco (845) Blues (854) Classic blues & jazz. Gospel Glory (827) Hallelujah (828 ) Classic Rock (833) Smooth Jazz (851) Reggae (863)
Love it, also. When I first caught his show, I didn't know it was Keith -- I thought, 'who is this guy with the damn sexy voice?!' :smt060 The female callers would get lost in it too, you could tell, lol. When I finally heard Keith ID himself, it threw the *swoon* factor into overdrive.
right. He has the sexiest bedroom voice...I've ALWAYS loved his music. That man could sing the ABCs and make a girl lose her damn mind . I also love that he plays old school r&b, like from when I was in HS lol
