Bernie's step-daughter ran for mayor of Burlington VT on his platform and got crushed. His son is running for Congress. This is the same guy who ran against "political dynasties" and whose followers lose their shit anytime Chelsea Clinton is even mentioned. You'd think all these pie-in-the-sky plans would actually exist in "progressive" VT the way Romneycare actually worked in MA. When are we going to stop listening to this old hypocrite?
Another bad idea from the unelectable far left. Social systems have to correspond to human behavior or they fail. Good intentions doesn't always add up to become good ideas.
Then how do Scandinavian countries make it work. How does Japan how does Germany. By all accounts their governments are pie in the sky and lead the world in nearly every metric that counts. Our way only has us leading in diabetes and incarceration
I'll tell you why because all those countries are 90+% white, that's why. Japan doesn't have racial minorities, neither does China. Those countries don't have Republicans, either. China doesn't even have a democracy. If America was as white as Scandinavia it would be socialist as fuck. But America has blacks and poor to punish and browns to deport. Whitey would rather burn America to the ground than share this country, that's why. Why is St. Bernie obsessed with the white working class? I thought "progressives" sought racial parity and justice? Who is the "our" in "Our Revolution?" I don't need a revolution. When the black man has achieved middle-class status and the level of POTUS, Whitey needs a "revolution." You're a smart guy with race consciousness you need to snap out of this white boy "socialist" bullshit pipe dream. The New Deal was for white people. They got the GI Bill and interest-free loans, we got housing projects and black areas destroyed to make their freeways to escape the cities. This is why I laugh when "progressive" Whitey says Bernie is a "New Deal Democrat." Not a selling point for me. There is no magic bullet except voting in Democrats anywhere they run, period, end of story. "I said 'black' 50 times, this makes 51" -- Bernie Sanders EDIT TO ADD: Scandinavia's tax rates are super-high also to pay for this socialist utopia and they have no Military-Industrial Complex to feed, either. If you want their lifestyle, then move there. Because it ain't happening in 'Murca. A full-on Thanos has to happen, 50% of the people gone, mostly deplorables.
Racial homogeneity plays some role, but not entirely. These countries all have racial/ethnic minorities, but address it in different ways. Japan's minorities are Brazilian-Japanese, the Ainu and Koreans. They are discriminated against and forced to assimilate, with varying degrees of success. The primary difference between these countries and the US is that the US is the only market-fundamentalist society among them. All other nations mentioned control the market to yield socially desirable outcomes, whereas the US operates as if any hindrance to capital is the work of Satan.
Yet you thought Hilary was a better option? Right now I'm all for progressive thinking and action. That's what gets you a civil rights act. That's what gets you a Dodd Frank. That's what gets you an Obama. What's the alternative?
Didn't see it relax. No they don't but they offer the same spirit of the new deal. A country that offers more than just lip service about opportunity
So how do you feel about the subject matter which is Bernie's bad idea to guarantee everyone government jobs?
Yes I did and still do think HRC was a better option. At best, she's a third Bill Clinton term. At worst she's a third Obama term. I did well both times and liked both men (better during Clinton than Obama). She's no Russian asset either, like Trump, Bernie or Stein. Question is, do you think Trump is a better option? Because that's what you got.
You won't get an answer, just like how you'll never get a straight answer from Whitey why he voted for Trump
long as Hillary didn't bow to the far left side of the democrat party I feel she was a better option as well. The way it's going though at this point I feel Clinton is to the right of the current democrat platform
