I've actually found that a lot of girls who have early experiences with blacks through sports have a much better-than-aversge perspective. It's gotta be because they learn to like and know and work with "others" before the world tells them how things are supposed to work.
The same can be said often of white male athletes who participate in sports filled with "minorities". Interesting enough the sporting angle seems to lead to a lot of iR regarding black men and white women. Whether it be high school hookups, or white cheerleaders getting proposed by black footballers on the field or white female journalists, who cover sports with high black participation, marrying black dudes. If you are an attractive white female athlete on a Canadian, American or British track team you could very well likely be getting it on with black males. I know of certain major universities in which many of the white female volleyball players end up dating the black sports studs on campus. Perhaps its a matter of so these white females being in the orbit of all of those athletic black male bodies. And sports is arguably the lone area/industry in which black male dominance may be accepted or n outward appreciation of black men is not frowned upon. Think about how plenty of major football and basketball programs have hired used white coeds to play the role of escort of recruits coming in for weekend visits knowing damn well that the majority of those recruits will be black. And these programs have tended to not take issue if something goes down between the recruits and these greeters, even if its just flirting. There has never been an equivalent of white America okaying the use of white female bodies to be flaunted like that in front of young black men; this shit even happens in the southern schools. That's the power of sports in America....it will cause white people who are otherwise intolerant of black people in general, t put aside their bigotry,at least temporarily, an embrace the black guys who wear the uniforms of their teams. Back to Ledlow...wow. So happy to learn she is engaged to a black guy. It had been reported through social media that she had gotten engaged sometime this summer or early fall. I was hoping her mate would be black but I had my doubts. First of all its not something that white female celebs do a whole lot. Secondly not too long after I first learned about Ledlow I came across someone who tweeted to her about her crushes on Justin Timberlake, Beckham and some other white male celeb. So I assumed she was just into white dudes. But over the years I kept seeing how she was just so comfortable in being in the same space with black men, mostly black male athletes (NBA) or black male journalists whom she worked with on TV. She could also be found at many events celebrating black female athletes looking like she fit in. There was no hesitation by her in breaking the invisible barriers when she hugged stars like Kobe or LeBron. I knew she viewed Grant Hill as like an older brother and she was a huge fan of Michael Jordan as a little girl. But I had no idea about her being a starter on her varsity basketball team or her having best friends who were black growing up. If I had known she had a black sweetheart in high school that would have clued me in better. What I did know was that she was a Southerner and a proud Christian and a former Miss Florida contestant. That combo doesn't typically lead me to think that such a white woman would date let alone marry a black man. Although interesting enough she is the second or third blonde Floridian I know of who was a former beauty contestant who then started covering sports and hooked up with black men. I'm sure a bunch of black dudes are happy to learn this. Ledlow has been a favorite of many brothas for a long time based upon comments I've seen on twitter, YouTube and Instagram. In fact it gave me hope to see so many black male NBA fans who were s open about thirsting after her. It let me know that there were actually many black males out there who weren't conditioned to only find black women attractive.
Don't know who he is. Don't really care either. Key thing is he is isn't the celebrity, she is. And that's probably the best examples of IR I like to see. That's what you call a "w" for black manhood, unlike when some black male star dates an unknown Instagram chick. Great to know some non-celeb black guy could get her although I'm sure he is well educated and has a nice job.
Usually when folks crushes all are the same race they're dating interest reflects. Maybe he is an exception. I don't know. lol. Congrats on their marriage I'm guessing they're on their honeymoon since they married on the 6th.
