are white women more aggressive online than IRL?

i have a theory that ww tend to be more aggressive online when it comes to online dating...

i have an online dating account of BBW site where most of the messages I get are from WW...

 

From my experience, it seems that way. I think that's how I got my 1st gf. Then after that I gotten more contact with them then any other race.

I am going to say yes to this. You can be way more real and upfront online (especially when it comes to your dating preferences).

 

As a (shy) white woman who used to be on dating sites, I can say yes absolutely!
I would have no problem starting a conversation or messaging first or complimenting men online, while I would admittedly do no such thing IRL, the most you could get out of me would be a flirty look or a smile lol, and that's even rare. Lots of reasons for that.

 

I think aggression is sometimes confused with passion. I'm a very passionate person period, but can probably come off aggressive, though technically aggression comes with being a redhead so maybe I'm the one confused The older I've grown the more confident I've grown so probably nowadays wouldn't have a problem speaking my mind IRL if I was so lucky to engage with a BM.

 

You are not like some Oz women who wants a booty call.

On the internet people paint themselves to be something they're not. This is why you have some, not all white women posing. Playing the role they think black men or any man is after. Then on the flip side you have men doing the same thing. Then these two types meet and realize it's a cluster because neither side presented themselves honestly. Then that's rippled across the dating community as "there's no good men or women" out there.

So yeah, women come on strong like they're bossy bossy. I blame the rap music, Instagram and TikTok. I'm serious. This is not a joke. These types that come on bout it bout it online, I see them in real life and they don't talk the same at all. I've run into people from facebook and IG and all that energy in them pictures and videos, none of that is real.

Real world real life experience.

 

When I meet people like that, I always wonder why they felt the need to adopt a character in the first place. Many people have perfectly endearing characteristics naturally, without adopting a fake posture.

Question: does that confidence continue in the real world if you meet someone that you first contacted online?

 

In my experiences the confidence isn't always there. I would say it's been like 40/60. That's been my experience. The ones with that don't keep that confidence are typically the ones who presented a false image of themselves that they can't keep up. The ones that continue that confidence are the ones that really have they lives together. You can only keep up a lie until eyes see and ears hear.

 

Question: I'm curious....Why blame rap music?

 

I haven't tried online dating but I'm willing to give it a try. I'm kinda old school and prefer direct conversation and imo it's all about the personal experience and conversation. People have lost the art of conversation imo. Every now and then we all should "unplug" . I taught my daughter to unplug every now and then. What's unplug??? Sometimes, before I go to work leave my cellphone at home. I know, i know...It was hard at first only 8 hrs. Try this the next you go out. I go to this local pub because I got a thing for a IPA's. (Indian Pale Ale) I usually leave my cell in the car. I would say 98% of the people were engaged in some kind of cell phone activity. Maybe, It's me but people imo have lost the art of conversation. I still try though. Peace

 

I get where you’re coming from, but I don’t think women are more aggressive online when it comes to dating. A lot of times, their communication just comes off differently depending on the vibe. For me, I see women as being direct and assertive, which isn’t the same as being aggressive. Plus, the online scene can make interactions feel super intense, but that doesn’t mean being upfront is a bad thing. Everyone has their own experiences, and I think the key is just keeping it clear and respectful, no matter the gender. What do you think?

I totally agree. I'm actually pretty shy unless I know the person well or feel comfortable with them. I meet guys predominately online. Mainly because I live in a very white area right now and its extremely hard to meet black men where I am. I am definitely more open and outgoing online.

 

I agree that the manner of meeting the person can definitely make someone feel more daring in how they communicate with that person.

 

Yea, totally and I'm sure it's the same fir the guys too... which makes the whole interaction smoother and easier.
Online was also the method of choice for me too, because when I was single I was in my 40s, worked from home, wasn't going to school or anything like that and I wasn't going to go bar hopping to meet guys, so it really was the only option... and yea, like you said you can meet all kinds of people from outside your community, so it opens a lot of doors in that sense

 

I don't think white women are aggressive. As an African black dude (expected to be loud and controlling), I'm cool to approach, easy-going, calm and not loud. I don't fit in the African culture circle with my way of life. I strongly believe that white woman can match my glow and vibe, hence leading to a healthy relationship. From the information I have gathered about interracial relationships (Black men + White women), white women are good listeners and open-minded, friendly, submissive, tolerant and not loud.

Personally, I can confirm the part about white women not being loud. They talk in low tones. I wouldn't want my neighbors to hear about any single thing I will discuss with my future partner.. I love that. This means a lot to me, personally. I'm a good listener and a good communicator, I keep my statements brief and concise. I don't talk much.

 

I have met women (as well as people generally) that defy easy categorization and stereotype. I know calm & quiet and loud & excitable women of every ethnic/racial group. I also have met mean that play both to and against stereotype in my professional experience. I have experienced both aggressive and shy women as well. I do think that online interaction tends to bring out more aggressive/forward behavior in all parties, because the relative anonymity emboldens people to express their true selves, thoughts, wants, and desires more freely.
