In other news, I really enjoyed 'Predator: Badlands'! It was the best attempt I've seen yet at tying together the various loose ends of the Aliens and Predator universe into a coherent narrative & timeline.
Marvel Comics has announced its second blind bag program to support a new title launch, kicking off in March 2026. Daredevil #1, written by Stephanie Phillips and illustrated by Lee Barbett, will be available in a True Believers Blind Bag. Each bag will include the primary cover, a variant cover, or a one-of-one hand-drawn sketch cover by an artist to be announced. In addition to the primary and variant covers that are available without the bag, True Believers Blind Bags may contain one of three blind-bag-only covers. The story is billed as an excellent starting point for both new and longtime Daredevil fans. In the story, Matt Murdock takes on a new role as a law professor when a new supervillain named Omen appears with a major vendetta against Daredevil. Source: ICV2
Labyrinth Returns to Theaters for 40th Anniversary Fathom Entertainment is collaborating with The Jim Henson Company to re-release Labyrinth, a 1986 musical fantasy film starring David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly, in 4K for its 40th anniversary on January 8-11. Labyrinth: 40th Anniversary includes a special featurette celebrating Labyrinth fans, filmed on location at the UK's recent "Labyrinth Experience & Masked Ball," presented by Thames Con in partnership with The Jim Henson Company. Labyrinth stars 14-year-old Jennifer Connelly in her breakthrough role as Sarah, a teen searching through a magical maze to rescue her baby stepbrother from The Goblin King (David Bowie). Labyrinth was directed by Jim Henson and executive produced by George Lucas, with a story by Henson and Dennis Lee and a screenplay by Terry Jones (Monty Python’s Flying Circus). A "V for Vendetta" television series is currently being developed at HBO. According to sources, Pete Jackson is set to write the adaptation. DC Studios' James Gunn and Peter Safran will serve as executive producers. Alan Moore wrote the comic serial "V for Vendetta," which David Lloyd illustrated. It made its debut in the British anthology "Warrior" in 1982, and DC took over publication in 1988. The story is set in Britain in a dystopian, not-too-distant future in which the country is controlled by the fascistic Norsefire party. An anarchist named V, known for his distinctive Guy Fawkes mask, seeks to topple the government with the help of Evey Hammond, a young woman V rescued from the country’s secret police.
