T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach

I seem to remember seeing somewhere the other day that they are considering adopting a child together and pushing their blended family. I don't know, but as a divorcee parent, I sort of feel like they may be making a mistake trying to force their children together and bringing in an adoptee to boot. Could this backfire? For some reason, I think it could. Your thoughts?

 

Celebrity logic & problem. Regular middle class to low income folks in an IR marriage with kids from former relationships (especially from intra racial relationships) have enough on their plates dealing with the ins & outs of blended family life. No one is trying to willingly add extra to that dynamic outside of some life or death level circumstances at play as part of the equation. Not seeing any positive benefit for all the multiple parties involved.

 

T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach have found their happily-ever-after.

The former "Good Morning America" hosts married on Sept. 19, according to a marriage license that was recorded on Oct. 13, the county clerk for Washington County, Arkansas, confirmed to USA TODAY. The couple applied for their license on Sept. 18.

Holmes, 49, was born in West Memphis, around 300 miles east of Washington County.

People was first to report the news. USA TODAY has reached out to Robach and Holmes' representative for comment.

Though the couple teased in a May interview that they had settled on a wedding date, they did not share the timing details publicly. However, they did open up about having plans to make the occasion unique to them.

"There is a way we want to get married that we haven't revealed necessarily, but it would be very special to us," Holmes said. "We can't say what that is. That's a big thing for us."

Nearly four years ago, Holmes and 53-year-old Robach's romance began with intense media scrutiny as they were married to different people when they were photographed holding hands in public in November 2022.

The revelation led ABC News to remove Holmes and Robach from "GMA3." In a December 2022 internal memo, the network said that while their relationship did not violate company policy, it had become "an internal and an external distraction." The pair was ousted from the network the following month.

Holmes filed for divorce from Marilee Fiebig in December 2022. Robach has said she was separated from Andrew Shue in summer 2022, and they reportedly finalized her divorce in March 2023.

In a December 2023 episode of their "Amy & T.J. Podcast," the couple clarified the timeline of their relationship as it overlapped with their respective marriages. They maintained that their prior marriages were nearly over, but they both decided not to respond to the allegations to avoid escalating the drama.

Holmes has a daughter, Sabine, with Fiebig and shares two children, Brianna and Jaiden, with ex-wife Amy Ferson. Robach has two daughters, Ava and Annalise, with ex-husband Tim McIntosh.

 

People thought they wouldn't last but they have been together a few years and now they're married.
