As above.. We have not had an awful lot of prejudice, but I have had a couple of people say some very rude and racist comments - simply for dating a black guy. I have had a white guy, a friend of a friend totally turn on me when someone mentioned my boyfriend is black. I wont quote what he said as it was really, really disgusting and offensive I really didn't know how to deal with it and just ended up walking off in total shock and disgust. Hi Bex, I know this behavior in others is VERY annoying, keep in mind, that they do this to make *themselves* feel better about their own prejudice. They cannot fathom that an IR relationship would be based on a *real* emotional, intellectual, spiritual, morals and values, and yes physical connection, due to their own bigotry. Thus in order for them to make sense of your choice in men in their sick twisted minds, they try to reduce your relationship to something sordid, base, and animalistic. Yes u get it all the time, mostly I ignore it.
