Are we witnessing something profound with the President and his party at war with themselves. There is a lot of anger being directed at President Obama by his own party over his compromise with the Republicans over taxes and of him (the President) at his own party. His party is saying he is weak and do not know what he is doing. The Democrats are forming a block against any floor vote over taxes, the President want to get it down. Are we seeing a meltdown on the left? The Black Caucus is threatening to not take part in any vote as revenge for what was done to Rep.Rangel. We are living in interesting times. Taxes are being blocked, The Dream Act is stalled. Don't Ask, Don't Tell is blocked. Can government be brought to a standstill in which nothing gets done?
Let me explain what is going to happen. The bill will not pass! There is a bipartisan crew of republicans and democrats that will vote against it. This means it is not a civil war since there are republicans against it.(so yes obama does unite! against him lmao) The black caucus will vote on it because their people at home are more important than an idiot or a crock(not sure which it is). as for the rest I don't know. Don't ask, don't tell repeal bill will pass but the question is when. If obama gets elected a second time, the tax cuts will be gone.
The insane left is never satisfied with what their "boy" does for them. They are gonna try to unseat Obama in 2012.
The "insane" left? Have you looked at the side of the aisle where McCain sits lately? Those people are BSC. Actually, the entire Congress is BSC. Not the point. I think people are furious because Obama is TRULY in the middle... some things he's Liberal Dem on, other things he's Reagan Republican. This drives people CRAZY because they want to pigeon-hole him into one party or the other and he's not having it. They also don't like how he pretty much tells people to get over themselves. This, I am fine with, even though I'm as Liberal as one can get without toppling over the edge in the abyss. I hope Obama gets elected a second time, only because he's got a lot to do.
I think President Obama has played a good move in bringing former president Clinton onboard to advise him. I think he should use Clinton on a constant basis, much like what Clinton did with Dick Morris who was Republican and helped Clinton win re-election. What does irk the hell out of me if the reports are true and that is members of Obama's own party are using the "F" word ( "F" Obama, or "F" him, or He does not know what the "F" he is doing) in their reference to the President. This is unheard of being done to any past president. If true, why has the Congressional Black Caucus not say anything against this complete lack of respect for the President.
besides Obama being smack in the middle of a group that has controlled this country since before its creation, white males. He is also standing in the middle by himself......in the middle. There is no more room for a right of center or left of center politician and by extension that is no room for people like myself. The tax cuts SHOULD be repelled and allowed to expired AND we should not add more to un employment insurance unless we can pay for it. And the best way to do that is to cut spending. No in education, but in the two wars we launched but did not pay for. This is the only time in American history were AMERICANS were not asked to do their fair share. Meaning we are at wars and taxes actually went down. Obama was never the far left goon that made him out to be and now that is being the man they elected all of a sudden "Holy Crap" Obama will be a one term pony for sure. Damn shame.
the CBC is worried about their own necks. At one time the ONLY people under ethics investigation were member of the CBC....word go around. They are sitting around scared and afraid hopin' that no one looks at them. Spineless and powerless.

Since 2008 the House Ethics Committee has devoted a disproportionate amount of its time to cases involving black members of Congress. Of the 42 members of the CBC in the House of Representatives, seven, or 16.5 percent, have been investigated by the Ethics Committee in the past two years. No comparable percentage of white members have faced investigation. The number of white members investigated in the past two years appears to be more like 35, or just shy of 9 percent. Now how is that possible if there are BY FAR more white members? These figures, in and of themselves, do not suggest a sinister intent on the part of ethics investigators. If members of the CBC disproportionately engage in graft, they should be disproportionately investigated by the Ethics Committee. But there is no evidence that members of the CBC disproportionately engage in graft. There is evidence, however, that right-wing legal organizations are using the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE), which refers cases to the Ethics Committee, to target black members of Congress. Its like if you know a lot more black folk get pulled over for speeding, this affect you even if you aren't a speeder. Hell, you might even drive 10 miles UNDER the speed limit. the CBC is afraid, powerless, and Obama is on his own. Him being bi-racial, allowed of lot of white folks to find something in him they liked, but then he came out they see him and just another "negro" and it doesn't matter how white is mom is.
What gets me is how little most people either understand or know the machiavellian the nature of politics has become in which the people you thought who can make a difference are like caged rats with a mafia gun at their heads.
