Because the ones who never practice chivalry have been the ones in my experience who end up falling in the "users" category. Whether it be for money, shelter, transportation, or a home cooked meal.
Like I said, based on my experience, I do...if they can't open a door, drive their own car on a date, offer to pay, carry your luggage when you get off a plane, etc...I think it shows a selfish side where they are out for themselves and what they can "get" from you. Can't say that's every guy in the world, but it's been the case with some I've dated!
