I was thinking about a promise I made to a friend in 1999 that sticks to me to this day. Before I started the fall semester she made me promise that I would talk to alot of females because I started school since she thought it wouldn't be a problem for me finding a woman. Turns out she might be right, it's just pulling that trigger is the hard part.
Whew, I'm beat. Just got back in town after a week on the road for work and find my industrious neighbor cutting, not only his yard, but that of our mildly-handicapped neighbor on his far side. Not to be shamed by my inaction, I quickly ran and grabbed my lawnmower and commenced mowing. After about cutting half the front yard, it conked out on me! Gas and oil were intact, so I'm at a loss. May have to buy a new mower tomorrow. In the meantime, my front yard looks like an incomplete haircut! Oh well, the sun's setting. Nothing to do now but grab a cocktail and unwind...

OH MY! That was interesting! A humming bird found its way in my living room this pm, and flew around like crazy!! Could not find its way out and bumped into the windows and stuff - and the cats were going crazy. I didn't know what to do. It was nuts. I finally managed to get the cats locked into a room and all I could do was wait for the poor little thing to get tired... ...... it did eventually end up on a window sill and put a scarf over him and carried him out... he didn't even fly away when I opened the scarf - he just laid there with his wings out...it broke my heart. It must have been scared to death on top of exhausted. It eventually few away - I hope its ok.
awww...it is getting to be that time of year...my male cat is constantly bringing birds in the house...i usually catch them and let them rest with the rabbit for a bit before taking them back outside to fly away...my cat gets so mad at me...
