...I mean..the guy only lied about everything. but that didn't matter....just so long as you all had HOPE, right ? hahaha I can't believe folks still think of politics based on 2 parties...seriously ?
I don't think it's clear that he has "failed." Velkrum, I don't know if you are American or not, but those of us who are remember what it was like before Obama took office. Nearly every week brought the closure of another bank or the failure of another financial institution. There was a very high level of uncertainty about a system that was on the verge of collapse. This is no longer the case. Are things perfect? No. Unemployment is still terribly high and I am not discounting the impact of S & P's downgrade. It's worth noting, though, that this is not entirely the doing of President Obama. The vast majority of the deficit was accumulated under the previous administration and the failure to deal with it in a reasonable fashion was the doing of both parties in Congress. Is Obama perfect? No, not even close. Personally, I am disappointed with the continuity with the Bush administration in many key policy areas, particularly foreign policy. I voted for Obama (and indeed, I was even an Obama delegate to my county convention) because I supported his opposition to the war in Iraq. In office, Obama has rejected the terminology of the Global War on Terror, but in practice he's continued and even expanded it. Still, I don't think it's clear that he has "failed" as you seem to think, nor do I think that more tea party crazies are the answer.
Lied about everything??? Examples please. The nation was on the verge of an economic collapse when he came into office, nothing since then has really changed. Big business won't reinvest and hire workers unless the WH agrees to overturn government regulations and lower their corporate tax rates even more. The President is in a difficult position. He's fighting right wing radicals in Congress who are against ANY Democratic legislative proposals on principle. There's a reflexive attitude among Republicans on Capitol Hill, and it's nothing like we've ever seen before. Dubya got Democrats to go along with his agenda. Clinton was able to reach compromise with turd burger Newt Gingrich and the House Republicans. But the Tea Baggers are willing to literally let the country implode because of their own narrow ideology. They are political fanatics, right wing suicide bombers. THe hatred of the man in the WH by conservatives has made Obama a lame duck with more than a year to go into his first term. BHO has proven that he's not some socialist pinko commie, and is more conservative than even George W. Bush, yet these right wing wackos aren't happy unless Obama does absolutely EVERYTHING they want. We just witnessed the lengths the Tea Party and the GOP were willing to go to prevent the President from achieving any legislative victories with their pushing the debt ceiling limit crisis up until the last few hours before default. Raising the debt ceiling has never been an issue before, until Obama got into office. If you live with a crazy person who's willing to burn down the house with both you and him in it because he wants you to die, your options are limited unless you decide to run from the house. Or kill the crazy man first. Big business is the constituency Obama won't be able to overcome however, and major U.S. corporations are willing to sit on their hands and $2 trillion dollars in capital with unemployment nearly in double digits for another year to force voters to defeat Obama in 2012. Good luck to America if Rick Perry or Michelle Bachmann is the next POTUS.
He hasn't "failed" yet. Please remember Republicans got us into this mess. If they're re-elected, America is even more toast than it already is. In fact, we become Afghanistan if the get the White House in 2012. Tea Party = Taliban. Religious oligarchy. And you're not trying to sell that 3rd party bullshit here, are you? Let it go.
No..its people like you who think politics is about republicans and democrats that got us into ALL of our messes. I don't support parties, I support individuals and specific principles, but your right....better to follow the heard and be a sheep like everyone did in 2008
1st - Do your own research it isn't very hard to find examples of Obomber' lying. 2nd - I guess devaluing the American dollar into a worthless piece of paper is better than defaulting and having the markets correct themselves...(well our currency is a worthless piece of paper not backed by anything but it has certain purchasing powers that we need as a society) I mean....who cares about inflation...people don't need to buy food or gas..we can all survive on lies and useless political parties.
rite there ^ lets not forget the S&P slammed everyone.....TEA PARTY and all. you repoblicans are in such denial you need a boat because think it is just a river
As I suspected, a dittohead who can't back up shit because he doesn't know what he's talking about. You made the accusation, back it up. A 'market correction' in 2011 terms would be a global depression. Not years. Decades. Do your research. We had one of those in the 1930s. It took the massive industrialization to buttress a global war campaign to pull us out of it. Our economy has outgrown the world global supply's ability to back our currency, nice try though. We've had periods of inflation in this country before, and bread was never $100 a loaf. Stop being scared of your own shadow and live in the real world. Conservative = coward.
What else did you expect from an unknown with no experience that has never created a service or product anybody could use before?? The tool has never run anything the size of a hotdog stand, and now he is running this country, scray indeed!
Hahaha an Obama-bashing thread will bring Amanda out of the woodwork. Every business GWB ran failed. Including America if you're one of those people who think a country is like a business (it's not). Please name me a product or service that GWB, Palin, McCain, Pawlenty, Perry, Bachmann or even Reagan created that anybody used. Get lost, blondie. LOL
so Amanda is crazy for telling the truth and using common sense ? ummm...no it wouldn't...what we are currently doing right now is causing a global depression (DUH).....a free market correction would mean, America STOPS spending beyond its means and incentivize national industrialization again. It would also mean DE-militarizing the country and putting a halt to corruption. You clearly have not tried to start your own business...or maybe your not aware of the taxes and paper work that has eliminated industrialization of America..(you rookie) ummm really ?? I guess thats why gold and silver are becoming more expensive...OH WAIT...there not though...actually things aren't becoming more expensive, our money is just becoming worthless...but how can money become worthless if we have so much of it the world has outgrown it ? wait wait....ok so we have so much money we've outgrown it right....so how come so many people are out of work and on food stamps ? ok and then we printed more money and what happened ?? I guess thats your answer for everything...when things get rough just print more money !
Really??? As explained by Kevin Phillips in his book, American Dynasty: Aristocracy, Fortune, and the Politics of Deceit in the House of Bush, George W. Bush's businesses fail but he makes millions. Among Mr. Bush's business ventures: Arbusto, an oil exploration company, lost money, but it got considerable investments (nearly $5 million) because even losing oil investments were useful as tax shelters. Spectrum 7 Energy Corp. bought out Arbusto in 1984 and hired Mr. Bush to run the company's oil interests in Midland, Texas. The oil business collapsed as oil prices plummeted by 1986, and Spectrum 7 Energy was near failure. Harken Energy acquired Mr. Bush's Spectrum 7 Energy shares, and he got Harken shares, a directorship, and a consulting arrangement in return. Harken, under Bush, brought in Saudi real estate tycoon Sheikh Abdullah Bakhsh as a board member and a major investor. Over the next few years, Harken would turn out to have links to: Saudi money, CIA-connected Filipinos, the Harvard Endowment, the emir of Bahrain, and the shadowy Bank of Credit and Commerce International. A 1991 internal SEC document suggested George W. Bush violated federal securities law at least 4 times in the late 1980s and early 1990s in selling Harken stock while serving as a director of Harken. This is essentially the same kind of activity that Martha Stewart is going to prison over. Except at the time of the investigation, Mr. Bush's father was president and the case was quietly dropped
