Its not the words boo but the approach. Like I've said previously I'm usually really on point about these kind of things.
That's right talk dirty to me baby. Tell me about your 401k and your pension. Then slowly tell me what each letter in A A R P stands for :smt112
LMAO! Stop getting me all worked up, young man. If you're not careful, you're gonna give Granny a heart attack.
Ok, I'll put my claws away (for now). I face the same "suspect" attitude from my family over my preference for black men. I must be rebelling (um, I'm not 16 any more!), or I just want to embarrass them (really??), or I can't get a white guy (so a black man is sloppy seconds?) Or I'm just being freaky & I'll get over it and go back to what is "normal." SMDH :smt009
Oh my...you got me so excited I had to take a hit off my oxygen tank. You're so good, you wore Granny out without even laying a hand on me! :smt077
I'm always surprised to hear that people get this from their family. My family would never try that crap with me. People need to just keep shit like that to themselves. :smt105 Actually no one has ever said anything like that to me in my life, and they'd best not.
My mother loves guilt trips. Tries to shame me. She doesn't realize I don't care what my family (other than my sister's family & my son) thinks. They're the small-minded ones.
My mother is by nature manipulative, and occasionally she forgets her place and tries that crap with me... she is quickly reminded that is very unwise. However she would never make a racist comment, or resort to stereotypes about IR, she is smart enough to know better. Thankfully.
My preference is for men over 40. There just are not that many of them on this forum. I prefer grown ups.
What confuses me is why people allow their families to have any more opinion than "Hello, nice to meet you" about who they date. I put my mother in her place on that one when I was about 16. She's needed two reminders in 35 years which isn't too bad - and both times all it took was an honest answer to a question she had no business asking to shut her up.
