This is so true! I had to experience a lot of pain, during this process; however, once I removed my ego and pride, the results are worth the pain. Suffering is one of the greatest choices we can choose not to experience. It has taken me a long time to understand this concept.

54 turning 55 in October. Life's experiences have made more intellectually and emotionally mature.

A wise man once told me that if you compliment a woman with the right words, you get brownie points whether they are true or not and from your response i guess he was right :)

I think a lot of it also has to do with how you convey the compliment, but I'll admit...I think it's very sweet (and courageous sometimes) for a man to come up out of the blue and offer a compliment, so yea...to some extent I think the advice you received was on point! :)

I am not ashamed to say that I am 46..soon to be 47. But I take good care of myself (skin, hair, teeth, etc). I am confident in myself, and I have never had a problem getting any man. I am told I am beautiful and sexy. So I believe it! :) Oh, and I have been told I have a higher sex drive than some 20 year old's. lol

Now, I don't go out to clubs to party like I used to. But I do go out now and then to dance (mostly with girl friends). One of my good friends has this kick ass bar, and swimming pool in his home. So many weekends are spent hanging out there with friends for fun, a drink or two, great conversation, laughter, movies, bbq's etc. But no crazy shit going on there. lol

43 in February, some days I feel physically older (due to arthritis) but I'm definitely not a Granny; my son's are 8 & 11. I take care of myself & I'm told that I look younger than my age. It's all good from here

As I recall, it looks good from here, too.
