Late edit - the sites that i do visit which focuses on issues within the black community have nothing on these shootings so far. I'm sure there are others that probably are covering, but damn. Minority cops were killed in cold blood by a black guy and they're mum as fuck

The brother also shot his girlfriend before leaving for Brooklyn. He was stuck on stupid on getting "revenge" on the cops. His family tried to call the NYPD about it but somehow that guy did it anyway.

Ironically, you post an article that talks about Mike brown and brings Al Sharpton to the light.
Proving my point that Akai wouldn't get much attention in so much coverage of four other people being killed by the police and at the same time that Al Sharpton bring coverage as he did with Mike brown.

 

Why they put all the blame on Sharpton? Those right wingers hated his guts for a long time. Sharpton even sent out a statement saying the shooting is a reason why there had to be non vilolent protests.

Tragedy for these men and their families...this man didn't even any score...he showed us who he really was by killing his girlfriend first and then decided he would create more unrest

Things are fucking tense out there people. I pray this shit doesn't erupt into something awful. Cops are understandably on edge and this just made things 100 times worst out here.

Are you kidding? Mike Brown's death was BREAKING NEWS on CNN. A large and growing upset crowd had collected at the scene as word spread, which actually contributed to the amount of time Mike's body laid in the street, because the EMT's and the Coroner couldn't get through.
At the time, the nation was fixated on Obama allowing the 70,000 illegal immigrant children to temporarily stay, with all the sicknesses that were breaking out...when all of a sudden, Mike Brown's killing in small town Ferguson appeared as breaking news. Trust, it was going to go national, and it had nothing to do with All Sharpton.

 

I don't think the police union wants any speech from De Blasio, there entire mantra is either you are with us or you're against us. No room for even the tiniest bit of criticism. It sucks to be a resident of NYC right now especially if you're a minority because if you thought shit was bad before ......

Akai never got as much attention as Brown. Sharpton would have added more attention to Akai. instead we talk about mike brown, tamir, and Mr Garner. now we are talking about two dead cops.

I'm not saying Sharpton is the media but that he would have given coverage to Akai.

How much coverage will akai get tomorrow in comparison to the dead cops?

 

What's weird is there's never any accountibility for even publicly noted mistakes. Would we be cool with this if doctors were making mistakes without getting in trouble?
