Your humor is usually funny, but I don't get it this time. Trying to get negroes to make sense, I might as well wish for a million dollars. I have a better chance of getting that.

I'm having an issue with the sarcasm today. You quoted madscientist against being racist against his own kind. Me personally, I don't mind black folk, I just don't like the hoodlums or the modern day coons.

That title alone would go to Pastor James David Manning of ATLAH Ministries in Harlem. He's like a cross between Clayton Bigsby and Uncle Ruckus.

I prefer to think of him as a lawn-jockey who claims to be a man of god.

You are misunderstanding me. What I am saying is, what if the military stages a coup because Obama refuses to preemptively attack Iran, or they think he is too socialist. And the guns are not to be used against Obama, but against a despotic military.

But anyways, I support guns because that is our last line of defense. Let me put it in a different way. Let's say that white supremacists go all out of control all of a sudden. I would want a gun to protect myself and my family against them.

And besides, where did you get the notion that I was being racist against black people? For saying that the military might stage a coup against Obama? What's racist about that?

Pleae. Let's deal with facts, shall we? The military votes GOP.

What kind of .45 do you own? I used to own a .22 a years ago, but I am thinking of getting a S&W .38 6" revolver. No carry. To be kept in a safe at home.

My older sister was arrested for armed robbery with a .22, lol. She went to prison for 5 years. Honestly, guns are stupid. I guess it's not as stupid as my exs brother - tried to rob a bookies with a baseball bat and they have protective glass... what an idiot.

Again...it's not the guns, it's what the idiots with the guns do with them.

It's amazing how we care so much about our beloved guns as oposed to things that matter like health care.:smt023

True, but this isn't a thread about healthcare. ;)

I understand that, I just don't get the whole gun-fetish that some people tend to have. I sometimes think those gun enthusiasts remind me of Officer Tackleberry from the "Police Academy" movies.

I wouldn't call it a "fetish". Many people care deeply about their Constitutional rights, like the 1st Amendment or the 2nd Amendment (and the rest of the Bill of Rights). I think it's great.

Who doesn't care about health care? What you really mean is we don't all agree that we should have a taxpayer-supported federal system of socialized medical care.

Not at all inconsistent with supporting the right of individuals to bear arms.

So, what's the proposal? To remove all idiots?
Surely the point of allowing/disallowing guns is to remove the ability of "idiots" to cause maximum amounts of destruction. Remove the tools. You can't dig a garden very fast if you don't have a spade.

Ah. After pages and pages, I think we can safely say that not a single person on here has altered their opinion. My head is hurting now and the wall is bloodied.
