I don't get it. I actually don't...trying to wrap my brain around how these young White teens can be this disrespectful, this disgraceful...Have they no sense, no shame?! :smt012

What bothers me on top is that these dumbasses probably are not even KKK members which makes it worse... buy trying to act 'cocky' and 'daring' they are doing their dirty work, embarrassing their families, their school mates, school name, Hockey, and 'White people', period.

Ms. Bliss, the biggest problem I find with today's youth is their ignorance of history. It is the one reason we have the societal problems that we have today and our failure to be able to compete with the world on a unified basis. Ms.Bliss I'm encouraged that there are people like yourself who recognize this and are willing to speak out against it.

Racists? They are not racists. Those are just some good old southern youths showing some good old white southern pride. Ain't no different from when mofos display that symbol of southern pride & real American values known as the Confederate Flag.........

    the spin doctor is IN

    :p

stupid mofos tho....people getting real bold all of a sudden

makes you wonder why no one in the crowd was doing anything about it tho..................

like i said...hidden racism is more frightening than the few who proudly show it

You're preaching to the choir over here, Rev. I'm more suspect of people who smile in your face all the time and say and do all kinds of off shit on the down low and try to play it off than the mofos who are open about their ignorance & hate.

Since North Dakota isn't the South it makes one wonder..is it spreading, or do these kids live in a vacuum -- what they don't see/or know, they can't appreciate the history of hate in the South.

The article said they did it for less than 60 seconds, and if you see the pic, those around don't seem to notice in time. You can get pretty insular watching a sports game, coupled with the fact that everyone was wearing white, you'd have to be focused on these boys at the moment they did this to register it at first.

I thought the same thing at first - but then it would have to be at a predominately Black student school, basketball game or not, no? I feel these kids were emboldened because their classmates surrounding them were also White. If the fans at that hockey game were Black, they wouldn't have dared, me thinks.

It's a combination of both the good ol' boy mentality & views spreading beyond the South & people living in a self created vaccuum (not interacting with those outside of their own race). At least that's what it comes across as here in Washington State with the individuals you encounter who have the good ol' boy mentality and ignorant views when it comes to race still.

North Dakota might as well be called "The South version 2.0". There is a large swath of dumb-ass that extends from the south east to the north west through the middle of the country and up into the big sky states states and the pacific north west. Those kids know jack and shit about the travails of black people in these united states. They hear about the centuries long battle for Civil rights but it isn't real to them. I doubt there was a black person in that auditorium. I would be surprised if a single black student attends that school. It is what it is.

    here's my idea

racists need to be strapped into a machine that makes them black, and sends them back to the 50s, 60s, 70s..hell even the 80s and 90s..fuck....even the 2000s with all the racism on the internet....i cant even get my xbox live on without some knuckledragger screaming racial obscenities

id love to see their demeanor afterwards when they realize they can literally be killed because of their skin color alone....

Quit playing. America does not have racists people anymore. White people help to elect that Communist Muslim Nazi Negro that is sitting in the White House now. Twice. If anything America is now too liberal and shit. So ain't no racists people or bullshit going on. That's just Real Americans trying to reclaim the Real American Spirit that help make this country great.

It's well known that states like North Dakota and Montana are havens for white supremacists because of their small minority populations.

A big problem with today's youth is that they're growing up in an environment where there has been a concerted effort to re-legitimize racism in the public discourse. It started with the promotion of the term "political correctness," which has been used to demonize what most people would call common courtesy. The dynamic has been turned on it's head to the point where people expressing hateful opinions are portrayed as victims of people who purportedly try to suppress discussion of certain topics because they can't handle "hard truths."

the important part of the story is that the people around them tol them to take it off...so they had it on for less than a minute

I find it funny that the more racist people try to put down blacks in predominately non-black sports, the more blacks partake in said sport. Just look at the MLB and even though Tiger doesn't like to claim it, when average people hear golf Tiger Woods is one of the first things to pop into one's mind.

Pretty much what Frederick was saying up post. That kind of ignorant mindset more or less started back in the 1950's when the Civil Rights Movement got started and ignorant fucks resurrected the Confederate Flag as a way to discourage and intimidate Black people from getting too involved with it. That ignorant flag was all but rightfully dead, as it should have stayed until then when fools brought it back under the now infamous "It's A Symbol of Southern Pride" bullshit in order to justify that ignorant shit being displayed. Now you have ignorant fucks taking that shit to the next level by trying to re-brand it as not just a symbol of Southern Pride, but of American Christian values and a symbol of honest Americans opposing what they saw as an oppressive government ..........:smt011
