I never dated outside my race before but if the opportunity presented itself I believe I would. I believe that you should get happiness where you can find it.

My problem I guess it is the fear of the unknown. This is what I mean facing the problems of racism . I feel really stupid for saying this because in the end it is about being happy . Right ?

so why do you think people fear crossing the color line ?

if a person who planned on doing it what advice would you give or what would you say as far as a proverb to give ?

No idea. Until I came to this site, I didn't realise anyone feared it at all.

I'd tell them. It's not about colour, it's about attraction, emotion, mutual respect and adoration. It's about love. A person is just a person and who you date is no one elses business.
But, if you fear it, maybe it's not the right direction for you to go?

Be prepared for the "staring". If you are a strong man you won't even notice it though.

pay attention to the woman and keep a listening ear. much like every other close relationship but since you will be charting in new territories, it is wise to keep an open mind and not assume you always understand. like with any interpersonal situation remember that communication is the key.

I think it's about finding someone (putting race aside) who you find attractive, have things in common with and who you can relate to/with.

Like Aesop said, you will definitely get stares.

There might be some bullshit, but you won't know what'll happen until you try.

    Just try it.

Be prepared for stares and rude comments, though most will never say anything to your face.

LOL. I know I hate theses cliched threads because it make it seem like ww have this third eye on their heads or some kind of rare animal a hunter will have to chase and over look the fact you/their humans.

with that being said i never really dated outside my race and in the era i grew up in it just started to take seed ( the 80's) but was really hands off. thus for me i had crushes on ww in highschool but never moved because i was scared of a beat down from the WP and being alienated from BP so that is why Im asking ?

I hope yall understand Im not trying to be a troll or a bait or whatever yall call it .

It at this time in my life Im just looking for happiness be it with a ww or whomever. but in my mind it is that highschool fear thang in that the wrong move will result in a beatdown of a different type . you dig ?

I've have never seen anyone get beat-up over it. Not even in my daddy's home town, which has NEVER had a black person in the high school, even to this day. That town is still kinda stuck in 1940.

No-one likes to get into any altercations, well, because most (not all) men these days don't have the balls to even try. They are all talk and no show.

The only person you have to worry about making happy is yourself. Don't listen to what others say. You are your main concern.
