Its a small little IR indie film from 1997 that went straight to video that I happened to see today on NY55. Its pretty good.

Its about a goth/punk girl named Renee (played by sexy white actress Pauley Perrette) who deals with love and loss and she sleeps around with two different guys: a reggae singer named Larry (played by Leon, a black actor who was in Cool Runnings, The Temptations, Cliffhanger) and a spanish guy named Billy, played by actor Jon Seda (Selena, Bad Boys 2).

Billy is sweet and naive and really cares for Renee. Larry on the other hand is a charming player who also is boning Renee's best friend, blonde hottie Lisa (played by actress Nicole Eggert, most known from Charles in Charge and Baywatch). The music in the film is great and the acting is pretty good. The love scenes are very talky but the story is good. Its a short film (about an hour and 45 minutes) but I found it interesting and anything with IR (that takes it seriously) I will give a chance. Lou Rawls and Loretta Devine are also in the film as mentors for Renee. The ending was a little weird but reminded me a little of Pieces of April, an indie film Katie Holmes did a few years ago about thanksgiving in which she played an insecure punk rock girl searching for answers about life with a black boyfriend (Derek Luke). You should check it out sometime if you can find it anywhere. if you like IR its a great movie.

:D Hey PBT just to let you know bro I found a real cheap copy of Peices Of April[IMG] on eBay & ordered it. I'll let you know what I think about it after I get it in a few days. Please keep it up with the film reviews of the indie IR flicks okay?! They're real helpful.
