not quite true but not quite false.

I can't speak for all men but I think the consensus is that all men want women to date them earnestly but that's not the reality. Some date because of money. Some on immigration. some just to get out of a worse life. Some because they feel they will get better treatment or deal.

There are indeed women that do date earnestly but lets not pretend that every woman is doing that. That is what I feel is the truth but there will be exaggerations or a bit of bias.

Of course, I am bias in this comment. I've seen cases where men have done the same thing but the context is on women in this reply.

Can blame someone for feeling that way? This world only seems to favor one group and completely and utterly shit on another.
Not saying its right but it's completely understandable. As biological beings all we want is safety, shelter, and food not never ending oppression.

Hey I had a family member who wished they were white

I didn't know if I should laugh at her or feel bad

I mean shit right now I'm laughing but she was probably a product of this hillbilly ass country

What's the point of wishing for something that would never come true

Time to put on your big-boy pants and soldier on

As a side note....my first sociology professor told the class that the reason I wasn't xyz, was because I was a black male and that if I were a white guy at my current point in life, I would have been able to achieve much more (I'd kinda like to blame the booze or late night worldcraft but whatever)

I kinda weirded out at the white people looking at me, but it was college and many whites are sharing the same class with blacks for the very first time when they attend

Discusses involving race were pretty frequent

It's really weird to me that in this day and age people go eighteen years without mingling with people from different backgrounds. Kind of crazy and explains a lot our issues

    True story

Makes you feel like an alien

You have to remember that a LOT of people still segregate themselves along color lines in their neighborhoods

Some people were more open to others when it came to being friendly (met a guy from Texas who was definitely an overt racist...the south will truly let you know) and some were just plain stupid

The 'can I feel your hair?' deal does happen indeed

Although..I did let a white chick braid my hair once

Took her like an hour or two....talk about dedication

The neighborhood I grew up in is still almost entirely white. Not because it's a racist area and folks from other cultures aren't welcome. It's a small town in suburbia and even though we're only an hour and a half from Philly, my hometown is just not much more diverse than when I grew up. I really have no explanation for it.

The sobering reality for fathers of 2014 is that this is the choice of 2014 daughters......The choice the father has is: "Accept my choice or deal with my rebellion". ....

Says you. You can't really determine if its racist if you've never been black or had anyone black live near you right?

Having grown up there don't you think I would know if residents object to non-white folks living there? People talk, ya know.... You live somewhere long enough, you get a feel for the people who live there.

I guess where I live neighbors rarely talk outside of greeting each other so its hard to guage what they think about other groups of people. Like no on said a thing about Hispanics in my grandmother's neighborhood until they actually moved in. See where I'm coming from now?
