Not an IR issue I know, but seeing this on the news disgusted me...what is this world coming to? Do you think the world and it's people are getting more violent and depraved, or has media coverage of it increased so we think it's worse? When I tell my man about things such as above, he always claim it doesn't happen in Africa - of course it does! But are Westerners worse? Or do Africans and the like keep it quiet more? Opinions please.
Yes, it's just come on again - they took photos of the abuse and that's how they got caught. It makes my blood run cold, especially when I think of my innocent nearly 9 week old baby.

It's simply horrific. Iffey - in answer to your question, I think that apart from cultural differences from country to country, there are very sick people in each society in the world. I definitely remember reading the story of a girl who had also been raped as a baby by soldiers (this time in Africa, possibly in South Africa although don't remember clearly - but you don't forget a story like that), and how disturbed she had been as an infant and toddler whilst in care (her parents were also dead). It makes the mind boggle but all types of evil are as old as the world is, just that continuous development of laws and standards makes it seem all the more shocking (I think).
It makes me sick to my stomach that two legged beasts can be so vile!!!! I've heard of various incidents like this here and it makes my skin crawl. They're still looking for an attorney from the midwest who did this to an infant and filmed it. Another baby raper said it was punishment because the infant wouldn't stop crying. They should be executed!!!
yep i agree with that!!! i know there are people who dont support the death penalty, but just another reason for it!!

another Governor in PA, just signed the execution warrant on a death row inmate--not one protest from the black hollyweird crowd. and where is the outpouring of emotion for this baby-raped and brutalized. just think if it were your child?? Nope, I believe in the death penalty-not murder, just punishment for the crime

There is no punishment on earth suitable for what that "man" did. I don't particularly agree with the death penalty, but I'm sure if it was my daughter he raped I'd kill him myself...if I got there before Iffy that is. What also pissed me off is that the woman who watched him rape the baby (I think she filmed it too) only got 5 years. Justice? I think not.

nope, an eye for an eye would be if he raped my daughter and I could go and rape his daughter. No this is called Punishment, for the crime. some will want life or 12 years as it were. I however, believe that this crime carries the punishment of exucution. many religions, not just my own believe that crimes can be punished by the Man controlled government of death. as a christian, I am to pray for him or her, forgive them, but render unto Ceasar(the government) what is Ceasars(the LAW).
