Nope I don't believe they are fake. My son's eyes were not as blue as this baby's perhaps a shade or two lighter but they were blue. His eyes are mostly grayish blue now...

I know a kid almost like that. She's half Nigerian, and got blue eyes.

They didn't understand how that could happen at first, but then it turned out that her father's great-grandmother was mixed too. So even if the kid's dad looks 100% Nigerian, he's obviously still carrying the blue-eyed gene. And hence they could have a blue eyed child 4 generations later. :D

...how many blue eyed white babies have you seen?

His eyes look -exactly- like my youngest brother's did when he was born.

    the really freaky part?

His eyes turned dark brown by the time he was 5.

It can happen, its just really rare lol

Usually int he U.S,if a Black has blue eyes, its most likely because his/her parents both have european ancestry.So,2 Blacks, who have european ancestry, and carry the specific gene, have the ability to create a child with blue eyes although its still rare.Id suppose the chances increase if one of the parents is white.

In Africa, the cause of color eyes is usually a disease called ocular albinism, although it does occur among american blacks as well

    http://www.albinism.org/publications/ocular.html

In the U.S,you will find blacks with hazel or green eyes sometimes

but gray eyes and blue eyes seem to be rare imo

Wow this is really odd... I don't post much on this message board but I just had too in this topic because the last picture of the baby with the blue eyes is my older sister... I can assure you that they are 100% real. She carried this picture in her purse in college whenever other sisters tried to hate on her...

My eyes were blue when I was a baby, then they turned green, and then greenish-brown. Now they're hazel colored so in a way, I could see this happening with this child in the video

genetics are sooooo complex. They are really something else. The way things like eye color can skip like 5 generations and then suddenly reappear. It's amazing just how many genes are passed on with each birth, whether they appear at the surface or not.

Exactly!!! I got mine from my grandfather and my brother also got them as well. Only one of my grandfather's son's which was my late uncle, had the hazel eyes.

None of my uncle's children had them, and to my knowledge none of my other cousins have them either. So it only came down to my older brother and I.

I really hope at least one of my children will get them (whenever I decide to have children). I got a lotta action with the ladies over the years based on my eye-color alone.
