Black Population Slipping Away In Chicago As Hispanics Take Rise

Chicago's Black population has plummeted, losing 17 percent, while the latino population has gained 25,000 people, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.



U.S. congressman Danny Davis says "the Black" is slipping away. With the decline of African Americans in the city, Hispanics have taken rise with a 3.3 percent increase in population.

According to Bloomberg, Hispanics have been "strengthening their financial position at a faster pace than blacks" and have a reportedly stronger "sense of nationalism." On a downturn Black residents, who make up 32.4 percent of the city, earn less and are more likely to be in poverty than Hispanics, who now make up 30 percent of the Chicago population.

Does anyone else see the real problem at work here?
Black People are 32% of the cities population Hispanics are 30%. So that means together they are 62% percent! Instead of focusing on the advantages position this is for both groups, they are instead being setup as rivals.

Let me ask you this, Who's best interest is it in, to have the "minorities" competing with each other?

If we can get past the "us vs them" mentality, and recognize what is going on. Maybe then Both groups can move forward.

The Associated Press said 'The share of blacks in large metropolitan areas who opted to live in the suburbs climbed to 58 percent in the South, compared with 41 percent for the rest of the U.S.' Georgia’s black population grew by 23 percent and Florida’s by 25 percent. Black people are moving around the country just like White people do. I now live in a area where my ancestors came from prior to WWII my family goes back in the area to pre-Civil War years.

Sometimes people assume that change is bad or that something bad is occurring because it is mentioned in the news.

Btw, the 2010 census says that the Black population will grow to 66 million by 2050. So black people are still having sex and reproducing. LOL

 

"Hispanics"(mexican illegals) don't even work with Blacks in their own country...it's foolish to think they'll come here and work WITH us.

They dont even work together with Blacks in prison...they'd rather ally themselves with the aryan brotherhood.

People competing with you want to BEAT you...not work with you.

Immigration has always been used to offset our population/progress going all the way back to the irish...italian..and jewish immigrants.

Whites don't have the birthrate so they'd rather import poverty from other countries than share this nation with us.

As an avid Chicago native whom resides both in the city and burbs, I can assure you that it's not a movement of successfulness. The only real big movement to the burbs is due to the relocation (since tearing down Cabrini, etc.) of public housing--being dispersed throughout burbs as if that was going to help those families in so many ways, not! It has only aided in further dropping home values in various areas, among other things, usually stereotypical.

 

That's a pretty skyline though, isn't it?
