    The names "BP" and "British Petroleum" were used interchangeably in the American news media before the current crisis in the Gulf of Mexico. I don't know about the man in the street in Britain, but I do know that most of the people I've talked to about this incident blame the company, which has a history of safety violations in its US operations, not its parent country.

    If you want to vent your anger at someone, I'd suggest the BP executives rather than our President.
