The South certainly deserves its reputation as a historical hotbed of racism. However, please don't believe for a moment that the same attitudes didn't exist in other areas of the country, or that they don't continue to exist today. If you review the history of school busing, you will undoubtedly encounter an infamous picture, taken in Boston, of a man using an American flag on a pole in an attempt to spear a Black man (shown below). Many other places, from Cicero, Illinois near Chicago to Indiana and many Western states were inhospitable to Black Americans. Then, consider the number of states that have changed allegiance from Democratic to Republican, politicians switching parties and legislation all across the U.S., designed to take away the small gains that have been realized in the war against racism.
You can add RONALD REAGAN!!! An actor before he became Gov. of Cali. The thinking is this: If you are white you are smart, if you are a white male you are smart and qualified. That is what every white guy troll that comes on here believes that is why they always try to 'correct' the thinking on this site rather political or other ideas.
At work a colleague of mine blurted out to know one in particular that she saw someone wearing a shirt that read "Obama loves the U.S. like O.J. loved Nicole" she approvingly laughed while she said it. I gave her a dirty look and she says 'What?' to me with a grin, the other three people that heard her are white, like her (two of them are vocal conservatives) they all pretended to have not heard her but, they all had a physical reaction (cringing, quickly turning from her). This woman is college educated, married with kids working for a racially diverse (1 in 5 managers are Black) Fortune 500 company, a recent breast cancer survivor (the only reason I didn't verbally question her), and still said something stupid enough to get her seriously reprimanded. The ugliness in people keeps shining through.
I like how her husband tries to distance himself by saying they don't share the same views. Uhhhh............your political career is over you can stop. Honestly though, I have said it before the people who are sneaky can be worse. The ones who just blurt out their crass views are easier to deal with because you know up front they are idiots.
LOL. no doubt. I was going at it with a conservative talk show host about racism because she brought a black guy who trying to say answer why black people dont vote republican and he was saying platitudes such as " black are conservative and we need to educate them about history" I called in and stated we dont vote for you guys because you say and do racist/racial statements such as " showing photos of obama as a pimp or a monkey and ect.." and the black guy stated "well yeah that is a problem but we dont address it in public" . then we will not vote for you because you are showing you are in support of the fools because you dont come out and speak out against it. dont get all confused about why we dont support you. I later brought up the pledge that the prez candidates signed with it saying slavery was a good thing because it promoted family values and the host stated I dont hear about that , I dont believe it and she hung up on me. They dont want to admit shit
you cant even compare that pastor to hitler. no where near each other. I mean damn. you are on some jesse lee patterson shit
Oh no doubt it wasn't limited to the South, I just singled out the worst of the worst for daily life as a black person in pre Civil Rights America.
If you are a black person at some point you will encounter just such ignorance blurted out of the mouths of a buffoon. Most tellingly is they are oblivious to the exemplary stupidity they utter, its almost as though they can't help themselves. You have to look at them like "why are you even mentioning this b.s. to me"
:smt081 Fag..when I called your bitch ass out you hid behind Kuchini or whatever her name is...now you're getting all tough online. I told you right were I would be and you got quiet as a sissy in a stripclub. Stick to lifting weights... I got enough punching bags to beat on.
