Could Radical Islam Bring Down the West?

Just wondering out loud here. Like all revolutions in world history that changed the course of civilizations. Is it possible that radical Islam will take over the Islamic world and unite it against the western world? Could we be seeing the beginnings in the Islamic world, the rise of the Islamic Cailphate that has been long predicted by extreme radicals to seek revenge on the west for centuries of subjugation? Will we see a new world war with the Jews being the first to experience the fist of this new radical form of Isalm, then the Europeans to be taken over, and ultimately the United States being challenge to submit to Allah? Your thoughts.

 

I think not, this is what we thought about communism in the 60's. The world is becomming more democratic and slowly open to capitalism, although it seems to be a very slow and painful process, but that seems to go for anything worth having. However we do have a problem with nuclear proliferation, and even worse the possible threat of biological weapons being used in war.

 

What if the extreme radicals get hold of nuclear and biological weapons and use them against the west since they are so determine to their goals, even if it means their own death?.

 

Well I think we are doing a fine job of preventing this from happening so far. Our government did a great job of dismantling the operation of AQ khan, father of the paskistani nuclear bomb, who had been selling secrets to Iran, Libya, and North Korea. So the question is where would they acquire these weapons? Now days being associated with a scientist with this type of knowledge puts you on the radar of the CIA, and Russia is keeping a close eye on Pakistan as well. I think you may be surprised at how well the CIA removes threats on a daily basis along with the help of special forces. There is a constant war going on daily to prevent this from happening, and the US is kicking ass like Anderson Silva.

Interesting. I understand that the United States has plans to step in and takeover the nuclear missiles and stockpile in Pakistan if that country should ever fall into the hands of a hostile force. Interesting times we are living.

I think the matters come to a head when they move to the West with the same frame of thought that they have in Muslim nations.

The dirty little secret about a nuclear bomb is that the countries who possess them are afraid to use them because of retaliation.

Only Iran and Pakistan have the bomb in the Islamic world, and if they ever launched a nuclear attack against the West, you could literally erase those two countries and all their people off the globe.

Kinda defeats the purpose of having the bomb if it means the END of your country.

Do you really think the clerics in Iran hate Israel soooo much they're willing to destroy their own country in an effort to crush Israel??

Iran talks a big game, but they don't do a whole lot IMO.

I feel sorry for the people who live under these regimes because ultimately they will be made to pay the price for the arrogance and stupidity of their political and religious leaders.

Iran for the most part is universally hated throughout the Muslim world, and if they ever legitimately became a nuclear threat to the point they were a destabilizing influence in the ME, I believe military actions would be taken.

The U.S. just doesn't want it to be only them and Israel calling for a military response against Iran.

Radical Islam will NEVER be powerful enough to defeat the West. Most of those Islamic countries are among the most illiterate and economically depressed in the entire world.

They can't give their people jobs and most of them subsist on foreign aid.
If the U.S. ever achieves total independence from ME oil, our obligation to that region falls to ZERO.

The Iranians (Persians) are indeed hated within the Arab world. Saudia Arabia has made it clear, if they get the bomb, they want one too. The Persians and their history is not forgotten within the Arab world. If only the U.S. did not topple Saddam. We fucked up on that one and created a void in the region. Many Arab nations were rooting for Iraq in it's war with Iran.
