I know so little about money that it is scary. I am trying to learn though now that I am divorced and gainfully employed for the first time in my life...but now I am getting off topic!

Anyhow, Springfield or parts of Hartford...just have to know where you are going in Hartford

I was a money mentor at the conference so I can help. I just talk with people about budgeting, credit, debt reduction and stuff like that before you invest. I just moved to the area and have fam in Boston. Are there any places to go in Boston that are good to go to? I'm just trying to meet people in general anyway. I moved to the area recently.

 

I don't know Boston very well. Every time I drive there, I get lost---end up driving in circles! Where did you live before here? I moved here from Pittsburgh 5 years ago

You know, there are the usual ways to meet people---gyms, church, I have met so many people just by having kids---they seem to open "doors" because they make friends, take classes-it all sort of falls into place. I met lots of people on the job. I am a teacher

i was living in baltimore. i just have to get out and start meeting people. i'll find a way. i don;t have kids yet but most of my friends do and u are right, u do meet lots of people that way too. how old r the kids?

 

Mine are 20, 13, and 12...life gets pretty busy sometimes!

Only been here a little while. I will probably move again. Don;t know where though. So do you have girls or boys? What do u do when u go out?

 

My son is the oldest and my girls are 12 and 13. My guy and I go to a place in Vernon to have drinks now and then ...we often hang out at my apartment. I am getting bored to tears, I must admit...he has a 19 year old son and keeps telling me that his son comes first and I get that, but am starting to feel like I am not even a close second.

 

Sometimes u have to go with your gut and your instincts. If you are not getting what u need u have to express it and sometimes even have to pull back to make them see.

 

I did go dancing at this place in Springfield. I wish I could remember the name of it...it was pretty nice. There were some very nice looking men there, and it was fun dancing with some of them...

 

I think I will probably just tell him what I need, or pull back a bit...when I do that he always finds more time for me. Gets all scared when I tell him that I am busy

 

Let's go! Hmmm ok maybe it is too far. Boston has got to have something. I'll find something next time I am there.

I'd be interested to know of good places in Boston too. I live in CT but might be moving to Boston after the summer...

 

I'ld be interested in some info on the Boston area or points south. I'm in Plymouth Ma... down near Cape Cod. I'm 42 though so I'm not gonna want to go to the teeny bopper hang outs..lol

 

Jeepers, there sure are alot of us fabulous women up here in Connecticut...and New England in general!
