yeah he said that by keeping the embargo it would still punish Castro because by lifting it only he would be benefiting from it ...and I do believe that Obama is keepin the ebargo in place?.that it's just an open door policy right now but very limited.(could be wrong tho)
im not sure if it will or not. business are foaming at the mouth from what i seen in the news. master card , travel industry, and the auto industry is loving it
The island is about 80% black and mixed-race now. The old white power structure all lives in Westchester and West Hialeah, lol. Shakur's conviction was marked by spotty investigative procedures and doubt about the validity of the conviction, a la Mumia Abu Jamal.
Careful, better toe the party line: Obama is a Kenyan socialist who leads from behind yet simultaneously abuses his power and leads our allies in starting wars around the globe. And don't forget he also both hates Am'urka and its "values" while simultaneously leading in historical levels of deportations, and continuing right-wing nationalist-instigated wars.
He doesnt lead in deportations...he counts border turn backs when others did not. ^^^ Make a deal with a Dictator? Try again
Ah right because other presidents have made 'deals' with dictators in the past I totally forgot about that There's quite a few
Thank you for the information. I have not seen this unequivocally shown to be the determining factor in his administration's higher statistics. And when they're not making deals with them, they're actively sponsoring them, just like the Soviet Union did. Remember Somoza, Noriega, Pinochet, Seko, Rawlings, Compaore, Hussein, Pahlavi, Alencar, Park Chung-Hee and the gang?
Lol, obviously my joke and smilie went over your head -- that was my point exactly -- that no, it's been done before ( @ making deals with dictators), hence the 'try again' to find something that hasnt :-?
There is some dispute over how to count how many deportations, returns, turn-backs, departures per below, but so far Obama has either deported more illegals than ANY other president to date, or is on track to do so, no matter how one defines deport. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-me...porter-chief-/ http://www.thenation.com/article/179...ent-us-history On average, Obama is outpacing Bush by year. But since Obama hasn’t yet served two full terms, Bush has still overseen more deportations than any other president.
Well you see, I was once under the same impression -' that Obama has had the most deportations -- and I even once posted it in a thread on here... Then around a year ago, I heard on a radio show that this Aministration's DHS includes turn arounds and entry refusals, when other presidents did not. So I did some research and found his numbers were not, when tallied. Of course, if you are finding statistics measured by projections, it would make sense on paper that he will outpace. However since in reality, it's not actually deportation of those already living here and as defined by law. I ceased citing it, personally.
Very difficult to get accurate numbers with so many different interpretations and definitions, not to mention different fiscal year reporting of numbers. I quoted Politifact's numbers because as per below they seem to have the most narrow and strict definition of "deportation" and using those numbers it’s too soon to say that Obama has deported more people than any other president. But with the information available, it looks like he’s on track to do so. "Laura Vazquez, a senior immigration legislative analyst at La Raza, told us that Murguía was referring to deportation numbers from the Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). ICE publishes yearly immigration statistics. However, ICE numbers lump together two separate statistics: removals and returns. Removals are formal orders to leave the country issued by a judge. A return is a more desirable option for Mexican nationals that allows them to leave the country without a restriction on when they can re-enter with a visa. There aren’t formal consequences attached with returns, and returns technically don’t count as "deportations,"according to Homeland Security themselves. Media outlets routinely cite ICE numbers. Here, we chose not to. Those numbers aren’t an accurate count of deportations, because they include returns. Also, ICE numbers don’t include deportations conducted by Border Patrol officers. So when we hear the word "deportations," the public’s definition doesn’t line up with how ICE defines the action."
I got to agree 100%. Several trips to Miami, I'd ranked: 1. Venezuelan and Brazilian first. 2. Cubans and Haitians second.
