I find it VERY interesting that White Women that date Black men find Wright's comments offensive...

I know 10 white people that say Wright told the truth...

Everything he said was TRUE, maybe but the US being behind AIDS, but would you put that past this Government????

After all we're the country that said Agent Orange was A-Okay and dropped TWO Atom Bombs yet but for India, no other "Brown" people can have a Nuclear Bomb.. HMMMM

One other thing, you show me ONE thing Fox has said that made any sense at all...

Their entire News staff has been discredited, on a regular basis.

Only Alan Comes makes any fucking sense -

I can't watch it for fear Hannity will piss me off enough to throw my shoe...

There is nobody on the Right that makes any fucking sense! Have a listen to Micheal Savage okay, and then tell me you've heard worst from Liberals....

Americans as a group are generally conservative, and most Americans favor having restrictions on abortion. The liberal pro-life position is abortion on demand, without parental or paternal notification or consent. Americans don't want that.

Groups like Planned Parenthood and NARAL (national abortion rights action league) object to even having counselors present at abortion clinics to provide reasons why to consider keeping the child.

Your comment about not caring for children after birth is poppycock too. Most charitable donations to needy children come from organizations like the Catholic church, which is a strictly pro-life organization.

Why wouldn't they? Not a good idea to assume that because a WW likes BM that you can assume she is an America-hating liberal. My wife is lilly white, loves me to death and is about as conservative as Sarah Palin.

The republicans have always been about double-standards. Their motto may as well be: "do as we say, but not as we do".

    Country first my ass.:smt009

I don't have the time to debate these issues today-but I just wanted to make one comment. I find it ironic that some are defending Al Jazerra and if they were to live in the countries where it is broadcast if they disagreed with anything said- they would be killed! You call that freedom!!!!

I don't think people defending Al-Jazeera are, in essence, defending that country's way of doing things.

Then it is a double standard! In many of the countries where al jazeera is broadcoast-there are no other points of view-where as in the u.s. any point of view can be broadcast. I just find it ironic that people are slamming the u.s. when EVERYONE can state their opinion where in these other countries you can't even state your opinion if it differs. But nobody says anything bad about that. Yes the us had made many mistakes and is in a bad way right now-but I doubt anyone posting on here would immigrate to the middle east and live there for the rest of their life. (I don't even have anything against the middle eastern countries-I am just making a point.)

I'd visit the Middle East in a heartbeat if I could, especially Dubai. If somebody offered me a job I'd live there no problem. It would probably be boring after a while though, and very hot. Unlike a lot of Americans I respect the customs of the places I'm visiting and don't expect them to be like America. If a country doesn't have freedom of speech, what do I care. Al-Jazeera has a right to its own viewpoint just like Fox News or Rush Limbaugh does. I see them as the same actually. They offer unapologetic propaganda aimed at a specific demographic whose minds are already made up. Flag-waving doesn't change the facts. All this is moot since as I stated before Al-Jazeera doesn't even broadcast in America anyway.

How come you say "If a country doesn't have freedom of speech, what do I care."-but when it applies to the U.S. where you reside-you do care?

Because I don't live there. I live here. Are you trying to catch me in a contradiction? :smt057

Karma-to me it is a contradiction.

Did you not just say that if you were offered a job-you would move there?Oh well- I do not like debating-so I am not going to post on this thread anymore.:smt058

Why is that? I don't know another country where freedom of speech is implicit. I'd never leave the USA if I were to choose my destinations by what their constitutions say.

It's one of the paradoxes of a free society: even the bigots and haters and ppl actually opposing an open society have the right to use the platform to state their opinions. It's spitting in the well that you drink from. Biting the hand that feeds. It's a very fine line and what can you do about it?

And Al Jazeera's credibility as a news outlet can be questioned just because of the fact that they tend to fire too many talented English speaking journalists.

When in Rome..., as they say.

I spent 2 1/2 weeks in Israel and we had to make sure our legs were covered when we went into places like the Temple Mount. But, if it was a matter that I had to cover myself from head to toe to visit there, then I probably wouldn't visit that country.

I didnt think this debate was about freedom, freedom of speech, or bashing america. I thought it was about whether or not Al-Jazeera is a quality news source...and I think they are. Just because they cant address certain issues or say certain things doesnt mean there news reporting is not credible.

We have freedom of speech but have garbage news channels. (Hi fox news!)

I noticed something about the last two debates, John McCain did NOT wear a flag lapel-pin in either one of them.

Why is no one out here questioning his patriotism because of it?

I just find it ironic that people are claiming al jazerra as legitimate- when they are clearly biased and berate cnn or fox depending on which way they lean politically! Does it not seem logically a double standard to you? It's like you guys want freedom of speech -as long as it's the speech you want to hear-but condone biased propaganda from al jazerra. ;)

Because FOX is not a creditable news source, period end of story.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/24/rick-sanchez-calls-out-me_n_137679.html

What about this McCain worker Ashley Todd and she blamed a Black Man for doing this and its a BALD FACE LIE! Susan Smith did the SAME thing, what about the Bride that ran out on her GROOM, what's wrong with you people?

CNN is a centric news source, they don't always tell the COMPLETE story, what about their documentary on Blacks in America? Very INCOMPLETE and not done like it should have been and has been generally PANNED in the Black Community.

I'm starting to wonder about you seriously...

Go to Al-Jeereza English web site, US mainstream media is largely not reporting the news, want an example and I'll continue to beat on Fox because they aren't creditable...

You can't watch Fox and keep a straight face...
