Domino's Pizza plans to create another 1,700 new jobs in 2011. The chain hired a similar number last year after opening a record 57 stores, taking its total number of outlets in the UK and Ireland to 665. Domino's Pizza UK and Ireland, the UK's largest pizza-delivery company, said sales increased almost 18 percent in its fiscal fourth quarter as e-commerce orders surged and it opened more stores. Domino's Pizza, which has operated in the UK and Ireland for 25 years, boosted sales with the introduction in September of an application allowing customers using an i-Phone to order online. It plans to enable a similar application for Google's Android mobile operating system.
