Edward Brooke Passed

Read that former US Senator Edward Brooke died today. He was the only Black Senator to be re-elected and was in a IR. He would be sorely missed.

 

May he Rest In Peace.

 

He was the first black to be elected into the U.S. Senate since Reconstruction. He was a liberal Republican and he had a long intimate IR relationship with Barbra Walters. I asked eight people today what they knew of Edward W. Brooke. No one knew him or anything about him.

 

While I disagreed with 99% of his politics, I appreciate the work he did in fighting housing discrimination. R.I.P.

 

Edward Brooke was no house slave like Tim Scott. He is the real deal and knew what time it is since he was a liberal Republican elected in Massachutchetts. There is no one like him now today. Also,Jesse Helms dissed him when he was in the Senate.

 

He was an Interracial OG with Barbara Walters confessing their affair in her book. Respect

 

For the record he never commented on the book or whether Walters claims were accurate. Don't always believe a one sided story.
