Believing that Al Queda and the Taliban were done for, is like believing that 'Mission Accomplished' banner, bush had on that carrier he landed on. Watch the military channel sometime... they frequently highlight past military missions (from like last year) in places like Kabul and Kandahar, against terrorist strongholds and the sort... and you can log onto msnbc and read about mounting death tolls on both sides, as well as the recent 'Surge' of troops of troops into Afghanistan, followed by straight combat. You can't completely destroy organizations like those. It's one of the benefits of enacting asymmetrical warfare doctrine.
If the US didn't go all around the world, enforcing its will on other people and dictating to them, we would not have a terrorist problem. This adventure in Afghanistan will end up the same way the adventure in Iraq has, and probably worse. We must learn to live in peace with the rest of the world
I agree . Clinton had his shot and Bush did also. 60 minutes did a segment on the delta force where they had Bin and the upper brass and white house did not want them to pursue them. this happened around 2002 or 2003. the book I believed was called kill bin laden or hunt for bin laden. Im not sure. see 60 minutes for it.
So let me see, you can do a piss-poor job as president, screw up the entire country to epic proportions along with you and your cohorts, unjustly start a war, wipe your ass with the constitution and blatantly lie to the American people without at all being held accountable for your actions? That's how good it is to be white.:smt042
Pointing out the extent of white privilege/Conservative hypocrisy doesn't make Tony a "Farrakhan lover."
lol not at all just makes Tony aware of his surroundings anything else, is unacceptable as for Farrakhan..if you got tired of seeing your people treated like dogshit, you'd behave like him too.. when racism was very palpable in my neck of the woods growing up as a kid (oh no, here he goes again about the 'old days'), men like him and his internal fire, kept me going when I hated (you can only take being called the n word so much) being black. He may be past his time now, but he wasn't totally useless. If you grew up around racism, you'd understand. If you were fortunate enough not to live day in and day out like that, you probably don't understand this guy's purpose in life (other than to piss off every white person he comes into contact with).
