Do you all have words you just love or find funny or just love them because they simply describe a situation, feeling or thing perfectly? If so post them here. Here are mine: Thing or Thingy As a non native english speaker THING OR THINGY always fits when you can't think of the actual word... it helped me many many times Voicejail Stole that one from urban dictionary. It describes the endless automated phone attendant you just can't seem to get out off... it cracks me up. Quote "This dress is straight out of the Vomitorium" Tim Gunn on his show describing an ugly dress LMAOOOO
Yeah.. I got one favorite English word: "Cinnamon" .. Have always loved that word - for no good reason
GYEAH How you say it, is you blend the name gia and the word yeah.....I'll get that out the way before ya'll all get confused and ask  My other ones are.... FOR REAL, WHAT, BABY, PIMP & PIMPIN, THUGGIN Even though Im not a thug I just like saying it alot, since Im always mistakened for one you know? There are alot words I like saying and is always saying for no particular reason.
I think "do" is a strange word. It has so many meanings... Like: I did South Africa in 4 weeks. (did = traveled through) He did her. (did = had sex with) She did a play once. (did = performed in) He did his assignment. (did= finnished) They did time together. (did = served in prison) They do drugs. (do= use/abuse) That won't do. (do = work) I could do with a beer. (do = ...enjoy?) And probably it also means 100 other things or more... To make the confusion" complete, it can also be used to emphasize something. (for instance: I did do it!)
If computer terms apply, then I love SPUFI, pronounced SPOOFEE. SQL (structured query langauuge) Processing Using File Input It's a utility on IBM mainframe computers to run quick reports. Need that info? I will SPUFI it right away. I also like "ecdysiast" which is a fancy name for a stripper. Always thought it was hilarious to have such an academic sounding name for that profession.
Plethora is a good word. Lollygag always cracks me up. As in 'hurry up and stop lollygagging!' On the other end of the spectrum, law school has made me detest the words reasonable and concurrence.
A favorite word of mine is "enigmatic." If I can get him to say it with a straight face, I like to watch a man say "lallapalooza." It's all about the tongue. And I'm dating myself here, but a word that I think is funny is "doobie." "Doob," "doober," doobage," all crack me up. Or is it just the memories...?
I like the phrase to "throw ones dolly out of the pram". According to usingenglish.com, it means to megasulk or :
