Just like different countries speak different languages, from what I understand, the same is true for the sign languages in other nations. Meaning if I'm correct, there is no universal sign language. Tagalog is most used and taught language native to the Philippines. My daughter's mother is a Filipina so I thought it would be a good idea to learn that language.

Yeah i speak around 15-20 languages. But most of them are dialects. i.e related to one of the main languages. Like Afrikaans is another form of dutch so is the flander language.....portugues and espanol and some french are also similar.....and so on Its not that hard learning a new language.....just have an open mind.. btw is siswati anything like sesotho??
That is right. How easily we learn depends on the attitude we have on it. If we think of it in a positive way it will help us learn better.
Yeah, I suppose having an open mind is helpful. No, siswati isnt like sesotho, sesotho is related to tswana.Siswati is mutually intelligible with zulu and to lesser extent xhosa and ndebele. Its so similar to Zulu, it could really be called another zulu dialect.
I speak rusty japanese. I haven't been to Japan since 1996, but I practice with the Japanese in NYC when possible.
That's right. I joined Migente.com so i can keep up my Spanish.I dont need it. English I also speak online and with my boyfriend.
I speak English. It's the only language I'm fluent in, but damn am I good at it. I speak my native language almost as good as a professor I had a few years ago. He was from South Africa and taught English at WVSU. I know bits and pieces (namely a few choice phrases and swear words) in German, Greek, and French. I learned some Japanese in 3rd grade, but I switched schools and the next school I went to had no foriegn languages being taught, so I forgot the majority of what I learned. Since I moved to Houston I've begun to learn Spanish, almost without trying. My Spanish vocabulary has increased by a whole hell of a lot, but I can't form many full sentences because all I know are words and phrases. My biggest problem with learning other languages has always been grammar. I can get words pretty easy (we'll not talk about how horrible my accent always is, though) but it's all just memorization. If you teach me a sentence in another language I'll remember it, but applying the knowledge to putting together other sentences eludes me, because I can never remember grammar rules. I plan on learning Spanish thanks to a few of my hispanic friends who are willing to teach me, and if I listen to more Rammstein I'll get better with my German. The one language I'm determined to learn within the next few years is Greek, because I've always had a fascination with Greece and want to spend some time on the islands one day when I'm a millionaire. Uhm, I also speak "Redneckese" and ebonics. Hey Be-you-tiful86, Guten tag! Wie geht es Ihnen? Hah, my German sucks, but I know a lot of Rammstein lyrics! Bück dich befehl ich dir ,wende dein Antlitz ab von mir, dein Gesicht ist mir egal, bück dich! Einen schönen Tag allerseits!
Bück dich befehl ich dir ,wende dein Antlitz ab von mir, dein Gesicht ist mir egal, bück dich! means"bend over,I tell you, turn away from me,I dont care about your face, bend over" Lol Ich wuensche dir auch einen guten Tag My laptop is American so I dont have those letters, A,O and U with 2 dots on them. We call them UMLAUTE
