There is also Alisyn Camerota, one of the sexiest news personalities on TV. I love her.

Seriously, I do flip over Fox News (not only when Alisyn is on), to hear what the likes of O'Reilly and Hannity have to react to whatever Obama says in a press conference. I do catch Hannity's radio show when I get the chance, I consider that to be more of a comedy than a news related program. There are several issues that I actually agree with the Fox News staff that are discussed on the network. I feel it is helpful to have an alternative viewpoint to important topics, not just sticking to one. Fox News does provide for that, regardless of it sometimes stretching the truth on the news.

I watch Fox News as well as all the alphabet channels (MSNBC,CBS,ABC,CNN, C-SPAN, etc....) I refuse to limit my political outlook and be controlled by others.

    My two cents

I find it interesting that anyone watches news anymore. It's all run by corporate interests now. I don't want to sound like a hippie or anything but we all need to stop being so lazy and look for our own truths because we clearly can't look to journalist anymore. I can't even be mad at them because they are a bunch of people just trying to keep a job but I think we as Americans have got to wake up because everything we watch now is a half truth or a blantant lie.

I can agree with the above to some extent. But is it not important to know when you are being lied to whether from the media or the politicians? At least if you do comparative thinking from many sources you can eventually siphon out some kernals of truth from around the censorship, misinformation and downright blatent lies. I'm surprised about the number of people who do not even follow what the mind manipulator's propaganda are spewing out. That is why you should get your truth from as many sources as possible like reading books and other references. I cannot stand these lazy asses out here who believe everything someone tell them as truth. I find it shocking the ignorance out here of people who do not know the issues, but get what little information they pull from the entertainment channels. This is the United States of Entertainment.

True, the best example is the Palin phenomenon. A former gov without much experience only sex appeal.

If I hear one more idiot say "she reminds me of my mom" I'm gonna throw up. She's clearly not qualified to lead. It's amazing how the need to be entertained has become so much more important to people over being informed.

I aint Palin fan and could care less about her political ambitions. But in all fairness, she does have governing experience, in fact more than Obama. She definately has executive experience. She did run a city as a mayor and a state as a governor. Obama does not have executive experience. He was a liberal professor in a liberal Campus. Then he went on to be a state senator. While serving in Springfield, for most part he has not voted on a single bill (except voting present). Then he served as a US Senator for about 2 yrs before running for the white house.

Having said that, I am convinced that Palin will not be a good prez and her executive experience is not sufficent enough to qualify her for the Country's number 1 job.
Obama, at least what he lacks in governing experience, he makes up for it by his intellect, across the board appeal, and most of all by his schmoozing persona.

Fox News should change their name to Comedy Central.

Experience??!! Palin had a year and a half to finish her term in office. She is in it for the money and it is because "It was so hard." according to her daughter's baby daddy. She is not sincere and not fit to run for President. Also her handlers placed her in a "bubble" where no reporters give her any hard questions. She could not even mention a right wing newspaper or publication during her interview with Katie Couric.

Why is Al Sharpton always on Fox as the black spokesperson for the progressive movement? What happen to Jesse Jackson? I have never seen Jesse on Fox News. Are both now the spokesmen for the black community or has Al took that mantle away from Jesse?

I don't know why they get to speak for all black people. Where the hell was I when we all voted

You can credit that 'news has turned into entertainment' bit to the day that ABC News....Not 'ABC Entertainment', mind you, but ABC NEWS ...& Diane Sawyer interviews in the then-newlywed Michael Jackson & Lisa-Marie Presley in a "Prime-Time News Special"

They actually pre-empted all their other programming for THAT?!?:smt120:smt078

And either they make stuff up...or repeat the past weekends news items constantly & ad infinitum as if it's a "slow news day" on the Stateside of the pond...

When I was Stateside, I only watched PBS for the BBC News, Humour & Drama series...

NPR is the only radio I listen to when I *am* Stateside....

Fox News is gonna eventually go to the far left at some point in the future. I wonder what could possibly motivate them to do that?

I doubt it but I see some changes like identifying someone as Liberal,Conservative, and when someone speaks a opinion the word "editorial" was labeled on the top left.
