I love how Amanda uses the word "still".
I didnt know Obamas presidency came with a magic wand!
I dont think anyone with a reasonable intellect thought it would be over by now. This will take some serious time.
Im not even going to address her opinion on the health care bill that "nobody wants" as we have adressed the propaganda-like "arguments" the Obama oposition has used on this board before.

I will give O'Bam some time before I pass any judgement.

Thanks UC1 for that clip. I give Obama another chance when he gets reelected in 2012. Homeboy does not deserve a single term in office.

Wow, relax people, im entitled to an opinion just like you. So if im so wrong, somebody tell me why Scott Brown won in a Liberal state like Massachusetts? Even Obama said they lost touch with the interests of the American people after this election. And no you cant blame it on Bush,LOL. Even I didnt like Bush, so we have something in common.;)

***********ff0000]As far as the american people are concerned, it is obama's problem now. Fix it or get out. He can't fix it in a short time but that is not what most people will care about.[/COLOR]

But I think it's ridiculous and illogical. No one person should be accountable or at the very least expected to do so much in such a short amount of time.

People had low expectations before he even entered office.

Many want him to do poorly so that it reinforces their predisposition.

Due to the fact that he came into something that can't be fixed in a short amount of time, it's more than likely going to happen ["failure"].

    Oh that's the excuse now?

No its not the fact that people want him to do poorly. It's that an extremely un-educated voter constituency voted on the pretenses that everything would improve under Obama. What the fuck did you expect if you voted for a JR senator who served two years, who had never written any major legislation, and never been the head of any major committee?

You all of a sudden want this man to fix everything that is wrong with America, from race relations to the health system. Sorry, but ya'll fucking duped, and now you're reaping what you sow.

So would you rather have McCain???

Would we have been better off?

    Two choices: A or B.

    You pick.

I completely agree but I think this is a bigger dipiction of how Americans want something for nothing. How we as a country expect one person or even administration in one year to fix problems that took over a decade to create band the hands of a few hundred elite. People need to wake up and start asking major questions like what can I do to change things.

What has Mccain done except be a senior leader in the senate for 20+ years, write major campaign finance reform, and be a ranking member on the Senate Armed Forces committee. What did Obama do before he was elected? Not jack shit.

Considering the mounting problems, I went with experience, not color of skin, class or anything else. The stimulus hasn't done a damn thing, Bernanke is on the verge of getting pushed out, and now Obama is wanting a spending freeze in the next couple of years, something HE CAMPAIGNED AGAINST 4 TIMES.

Just in case you missed that line. Practice reading between the lines. I voted for MCCAIN. Hope that is clear enough for you.

McCain was the guy who said the "fundamentals were strong" about the economy just days before it collapsed. He tried to get out of the debate by "suspending" his campaign to rush to Washington to see about said economy. Something critics said was irresponsible.

And let's not even mention that he foisted Palin on the American public. People talk about Obama's lack of experience, but McCain didn't even vet Palin before announcing. And she would be one heartbeat away. Did you see her Couric interview? That's all you need to know. The Quitter-in-Chief. No thanks.

"Experience" means nothing. Bush II was surrounded by guys from the old magical Reagan/Bush days and even some old Nixon guys like Cheney, and look what they came up with.

I do agree that America is basically under the control of Goldman Sachs, but even high-ranking Republicans admit that Bernanke will be confirmed for another term. I'm no economist but his actions staved off an even worse disaster. He is an expert on the Great Depression and used some of those tactics.

Ultimately I'd rather see people fail trying to DO SOMETHING than people fail hanging on to the same old conservative dogma of free markets, deregulation, tax cuts, and just plain denial, the same Reaganomics that got us in this mess.

The Bush Administration in my view succeeded only in bring America so low that a black man (Obama) actually looked GOOD. That's some magic for your ass. Other than that, no thanks.
