There is some breaking news that the United States will bring out some or all the estimated 50,000 orphans from Haiti to enter the country.

some countries told that, but it is not in the thousands it is in the hundreds.
Netherlands takes around 100 and france too, I guess the states won´t take something in a resonable amount, sinice it is hard to find parents for Orphants anyway.....

Governor Ed. Rendell from Pennsylvania went down to Haiti with his staff and brought out 53 orphans. The children are in the U.S. now. Hundreds of families are coming forward to adopt children from Haiti. There is a rumor the the First Lady may also adopt a child. I caught my wife on-line getting information for adoption. I asked her what she was doing, she said she was just getting information.

I know the U.S. would. There are black kids here who don't get placed I'm sure Haitians kids will have less of a chance because of the language barrier.

It is gratifying to see so many americans coming forth to adopt the children from Haiti. This is indeed a most humanitarian country.

"Ten Americans were detained by Haitian police on Saturday as they tried to bus 33 children across the border into the Dominican Republic, allegedly without proper documents.

The Baptist church members from Idaho called it a "Haitian Orphan Rescue Mission," meant to save abandoned children from the chaos following Haiti's earthquake. Their plan was to scoop up 100 kids and take them by bus to a rented hotel at a beach resort in the Dominican Republic, where they planned to establish an orphanage.

Whether they realized it or not, these Americans — the first known to be taken into custody since the Jan. 12 earthquake — put themselves in the middle of a firestorm in Haiti, where government leaders have suspended adoptions amid fears that parentless or lost children are more vulnerable than ever to child trafficking.

"In this chaos the government is in right now we were just trying to do the right thing," the group's leader, Laura Silsby told The Associated Press at the judicial police headquarters in the capital, where the Americans were being held pending a Monday hearing before a judge.

Silsby said they only had the best of intentions and paid no money for the children. She said her group obtained them through a well-known Haitian pastor named Jean Sanbil of the Sharing Jesus Ministries".

Shit these Haitian kids will come here and outperform these spoiled American kids in school. They're already bi-lingual and hard workers.
