    I think that this issue is not about Snowden, but about the government's role in surveillance. It is an issue that came about before the Patriot Act. And now Snowden's story will soon be a major motion picture. I don't think he has been vindicated because he only exposed the snooping but not really affected any change(i.e., toppling the government) and I think he had other reasons that are personal as to why he did what he did.

    I agree that his motives may not have been totally altruistic, but I agree that the public needed to know the depths/extent to which domestic internal spying has gone.

    The government is funded by the people for the people, yet we know more about ISIS than we do about congress, the cia or the NSA?!?

    Holy fuck

    While I don't condone releasing shit that could jeopardize ops or put people in danger, I feel a certain way about letting people know that this country is on some Enemy of the State status

    I view this stuff that corporations have the government doing on their behalf as being just as sinister as any foreign enemy.
