Just another run of the mill white woman on the site who loves black men. Interesting forum; I hope to stick around awhile.

*Today is the day that Sauron was defeated and the One Ring destroyed according to LotR. It is also the day the Tolkein Society encourages people to read his works other than LotR.

Welcome aboard to the forums!

I'm your friendly, neighborhood black man, The Morning Star, and expect to see a great taste of action, adventure, romance, intrigue, and even some heavy arguments which may turn this place into a war zone. Nevertheless, we're a close-knit family filled with joy and pleasantries. But, as with any newcomer, do be so kind to post a photo of yourself.

Where? Just direct yourself here and CLICK THE LINK.

And lastly, here's hoping things work out!

You seem a bit too invested in the LotR universe. Care to share your fascination? And actually there's a section called The Nerdz Lounge where you can fully exercise your love for all things fantasy and such.

Actually, in my house, you'd learn I have a fascination with fantasy in general... On my walls I have maps of Narnia, Middle Earth, the Ice and Fire continents, and currently on the hunt for a map of Ooo. I'd love a map of the Dark Tower world, but I've never seen one made and I imagine that would look a lot like North America (but I'd still like to see it and own it).

C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkein are both inspirational to me as linguists and writers. Language and storytelling are continually evolving crafts despite being some of the oldest art forms. I can babble for hours about it.

And what was the inspiration behind all that? Or rather, the beginning of it all?

And again, there's a thread here called The Nerdz Lounge and to be honest, you'd be surprised since there are many people who share similar interests as you.

I'll head over that way.

I'm not sure why I like linguistics, languages, fantasy, and all that. :smt102 I'm sure Freud would have a field day with my love of escapism. ;)

Don't we all yearn to live in another world brimming with wild imagination and intrigue? ;) I'm sure you're not alone in this endeavor, love.
