The media is paving the way for Hillary Clinton. She will be tough to beat. She will be the President of the United States based on the demographic shift. I would vote for her to be the first woman President of the United States. What a historic event that will be. I think she will fight a tough election against contender Marco Rubio for the hispanic vote, which will become a greater power bloc and the female vote.
I think almost any other woman would have better chance than she does but if she runs and I see no one else to vote for then I'll vote for her.
Imagine a first husband, former President William Jefferson Clinton. Can you only imagine. I believe she will be younger than Ronald Reagon when she takes office.
I definitely support the idea of Hillary running for office! She is awesome! I also like the idea Michelle Obama, but not sure she has the credentials needed to run the country. I would form some type of spot for her in the Presidential Cabinet... Love them both, but definitely would support Hillary if she decides to run for office.
WOW, I hear there is strong support for Michelle to run for office in her home state when her husband's term of office end. We are living in truly interesting times.
Do I need to remind you about the newbie who is president right now? If someone can come into the door fresh and kick your ass, then maybe just maybe you have a problem. Like she said all he had was a speech and he still won.:smt042 Naplatino is probably more beloved and was a governor. I think she would be able to beat Clinton.
She has had a chance to show herself even more the last 4 years and break away from more local/NY stuff. She has been on a national stage and I think done well. Women aren't as accepted in certain roles. You have to prove yourself over and over. Newt Gingrich thinks the repubs can't match her: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/12/09/newt-gingrich-hillary-clinton-2016_n_2267256.html WASHINGTON -- Secretary of State Hillary Clinton regularly brushes off the idea of a 2016 presidential bid. But if she were to run, at least one prominent Republican thinks his party would be completely outmatched. "The Republican party is incapable of competing at that level," Gingrich said during an appearance on NBC's "Meet The Press." "First of all, she's very formidable as a person," he said. "She's a very competent person. She's married to the most popular Democrat in the country; they both think [it] would be good for her to be president. It makes it virtually impossible to stop her for the nomination." In addition to having Bill Clinton's support, Hillary Clinton would also have the backing of President Barack Obama, who will still be a "relatively popular president," Gingrich added. "Trying to win that will be truly the Super Bowl." Most people agree with Gingrich's assessment. A recent Washington Post poll found that 57 percent of people would support Clinton as a 2016 presidential candidate.
baggage. any one from the clinton era has it. bill newt hillary The democrat party isn't like the republicans. Barack Bill Jimmy. All of these guys are new contenders. Her baggage are voting for the wars, Bill Clinton and lack of likability. We have several good women who have no baggage. Jennifer Granholm Janet Napolitano Why we would waste this one on her is a reason I do not know. This is all assuming that the guy in the back of the picture, who had more foreign experience than both Hillary and Obama during the 2008 primary, doesn't run .
ahhh man you hurt me so. Yea, You are right. Now, I'm down to three people. Biden, Napolitano, and duval :smt009
As much as I like Biden's blitzkrieg debating approach, I don't think he has the star power to really keep the White House blue. Deval Patrick...while he would be a good choice, he probably won't have the same pizzazz or effect as Obama. But then again, time will only tell. And as for Napolitano...she has the credentials, but unsure of her "oomph" appeal when 2016 rolls around. Plus, there are other faces in the Democratic party that may provide a fresher face like Julian Castro.
Julian Castro is not a governor or senator so not really a big name. I think Biden might run but is unlikely to win. I like him though but then again I liked rick perry. lmao
Being a governor or senator to gain recognition is virtually irrelevant. What make people all the more promising would be their invitation to the conventions and deliver their speeches. Obama was a Senator with virtually no-name recognition prior to announcing his candidacy. But what propelled him was his 2004 speech and that helped him gain some popularity. Julian Castro is a young mayor indefinitely, and still has a lot going for him. Maybe not in 2016, but later down the line once he build his resume up a bit more.
I will say that she has done a bit good but it is just difficult to swallow a president Clinton with all her baggage as oppose to a someone with leadership skills and was governor of an immigration state. Janet would be a notch up for the democratic party in both immigration and leadership with a less confrontational incident. If she can get elected in the state of arizona that has been mostly republican, then I would say that she has a better chance of bringing republicans over as oppose to Hillary.
later down the line when he has proven that he can take greater responsibility but certainly not in 2016.
It all has to do with timing and recognize-ability. I will stake my money on Hilary then say I told you so. She has the buzz.
I like to place my money on history. The republican party follows succession and the democrat party picks new folks. It would be the first time since Andrew Jackson that a person running as a democrat had lost their bid and then won their next bid for president as far as I can tell. Most of the democrat presidents won the first time around.
Like many, I also support the idea of Hillary runnin' for president in 2016. I think she's a great speaker, & she'd do well! Besides, I think its about time we have a female president! It's looooooong overdue! As for a runnin' mate for Hillary, I want you guys to remember this name I'm about to give you, because you might be hearin' it alot in the near future..........Martin O'Malley (Current governor of Maryland)
