That’s the new favourite pastime on this forum. Ever since the Donald Trump arguments have calmed down a bit.

Calling out white supremacy in any oppressive situation is a favorite pastime on this forum. It's a good thing.

"Rape culture", "toxic masculinity", what do they even mean?
Enough with these sweeping indictment labels. This was his own perverted decision to murder her. Why not call him out, Symone D. Sanders. Hold HIM accountable.

CNN Commentator: Mollie Tibbetts Was Killed By 'Toxic Masculinity'

"CNN commentator and former Bernie Sanders spokeswoman, Symone D Sanders, had a unique take on Mollie Tibbetts's murder, telling a Twitter audience Wednesday that the Iowa college student was killed not by an attacker, but by "toxic masculinity."

"Mollie Tibbetts was murdered b/c she told a man to leave her alone while she was jogging. Her murderer happens to be undocumented. This isn’t about border security. This is about toxic masculinity. Mollie Tibbetts lost her life b/c a man couldn’t take her saying no. Full stop."

    Sure, sure.

Since the police haven't made the alleged killer's motive public, it's actually difficult to know exactly whyTibbetts was killed. Earlier on in the investigation, police suspected Mollie's killer was someone "familiar" with her who might have become obsessed with Mollie after a chance encounter, but that was before the alleged murderer reportedly led the FBI straight to Mollie's body, ending a state-wide manhunt.

Certainly the alleged killer seems to be undocumented, but he was no more motivated by his immigration status than he was by some deep-seeded desire to murder women who turn him down rooted in the Y chromosome. There are plenty of men who get turned down for dates and don't end up dumping the bodies of the women who reject them at rural intersections...
That's a tough sell to Symone, though..."

    Oh for fuck's sake!

I guess liberals can't let conservatives have all the fun when it comes to politicizing a tragic murder.

    Lol.
Speaking of which, at least conservatives didn't politicize tragic shootings like liberals always did. ;)

Donald brought the species to a new low. Even chimps are embarrassed to be our cousins now.

Don't believe they are our cousins? Ask yourself who you would rather have over for dinner.

This is political because liberals made it so, liberals made breaking immigration laws political.
Gun sales are driven up not because of "xenophobic or racist fears", but because whenever there was a mass shooting, liberals grabbed the mic while the bodies were still warm, demanding stricter laws and even outright bans.

Isn't the appropriate time to talk about gun control after a mass shooting? That's when people want to know how it happened and how it can be prevented in the future. When should they talk about it?

Even Mollie Tibbets' parents asked Trump not to politicize their daughter's murder and make this about illegal immigration.

It's disgusting Trump and other conservatives are pretending only illegals ever do fucked up shit, like murder.

Republicans won't even draft common sense immigration reform and bring it to Congress for a vote, so forgive me if I don't believe their intentions are sincere when it comes to fixing immigration.

Congress, read Republicans in the House and Senate, don't represent the will of the American people anymore, since MOST Americans are in favor of background checks and gun registration.

Everytime Republicans fail to do anything to reduce the amount of mass shootings in this country, they're making ALL shootings 'political'.

Her parents did not say any such thing AB. Why are you perpetuating a falsehood
Her distant cousin decided on her own to speak to the WP in response to Candace Owens' comments. (Stop watching MSNBC ..they lie to you.)
    ________
'It was a pair of tweets from conservative activist and commentator Candace Owens that sent distant Sam Lucas over the edge. Lucas, who is connected to Tibbetts through great-grandparents, wasn’t close to her — nor, she said, was she looking to pick a fight. She just didn’t agree with the politicization of her distant cousin’s slaying."

Guess distant Cousin Lucas had no such words for the cruel birch on MSNBC who said that, "Fox is busy talking about that girl in Iowa instead of Cohen" and Elizabeth Warren who said "(illegals) welfare at the border was more important a focus than Mollie's murder", because we know clearly to her, Mollie can't vote for her fake N.A ass.

And wouldn't murder by an illegal be the time to talk about stronger border control? I mean it's not like we don't have enough killers of women already. Should we just let killers walk in unvetted? When should we talk about it?

Where did Trump ever say ONLY illegals murder. You're lying again, AB.

He has asked for respect of our Nation's Laws, a proper vetting like ALL who come here legally had to go through. From having blood work done, to criminal background checks to fingerprints and facial photos and national ID's.

Why the fuck are you against that??

Also, our President IS for background checks.

Trump backs efforts to improve federal gun background checks
Trump spoke on Friday to Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn about a bill the Texas Republican had introduced alongside Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., which would “improve federal compliance with criminal background check legislation.”

Trump has said on social media he wants to “be strongly pushing comprehensive background checks with an emphasis on Mental Health.” He's also said tackling background checks is an issue that needs both Republican and Democratic support.

During an emotional listening session at the White House this week with parents and students impacted by school violence, Trump promised to be “very strong on background checks.”

Here is what you're asked on a BG check: What would you like added, AB? o_O

    ---------------------
In order to purchase a gun from a federal firearms licensed dealer (FFL), a consumer must provide identification and pass a federal background check using the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ 4473 form.

The first page of the document requires basic information, including the buyer’s full name, address, sex, birthday and ethnicity. A Social Security number is encouraged, but not required.

The form also asks the buyer about criminal background, immigration status and mental health — information that could result in a consumer being denied. Those questions include:

    • Have you ever been convicted in any court of a felony, or any other crime for which the judge could have imprisoned you for more than one year, even if you received a shorter sentence including probation?
    • Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug or any other controlled substance?
    • Have you been discharged from the Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions?
    • Have you ever been convicted in any court of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence?
Lying on the federal form is a felony, punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. That penalty is also listed at the top of the form.

Once the form is completed, the dealer will submit it to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) online or by phone. Then, almost immediately, the licensed seller will know how to continue with the sale:

    • Proceed: If NICS indicates the seller can proceed, then the sale can continue.
    • Canceled or Denied: Should NICS mark the form as “canceled” or “denied,” the seller cannot legally sell the firearm to the buyer. Michael Smith, the vice president of marketing and media for Upstate Armory Group, a firearm dealer in Simpsonville, S.C., told Fox News he generally provides the customer with contact information for a local lawyer who handles restoration of firearm rights in case the failed background check is erroneous. There have been times police have arrived at the gun shop to arrest the customer who legally cannot purchase a gun, Smith said.
    • Delayed: If the background check elicits a “delayed” response from NICS, the seller cannot complete the transaction for at least three business days. Unless a specific “denied” designation is issued, the seller will be able to complete the transaction with the customer after that period elapses, under federal law.
Even before a 4473 form is filled out, Robbie Wheaton, vice president of the Wheaton Arms Inc. gun shop in Piedmont, S.C., said he takes note of the customer. If a customer seems to be intoxicated or “shady” – talking, for instance, about a cheating spouse – dealers don’t have to sell that person a gun.

“A shop has a final right to say ‘no’ based on a person’s behavior whether they will sell a firearm to them or not.”

    - Robbie Wheaton, vice president of Wheaton Arms Inc. in South Carolina
“As a federal firearms licensee, we have the right to be able to refuse the transfer of firearms to someone,” Wheaton told Fox News. “A shop has a final right to say ‘no’ based on a person’s behavior whether they will sell a firearm to them or not.”

Smith praised the background check system, as it can flag other discrepancies for sellers, such as an age issue.

South Carolina law, for example, prohibits anyone under the age of 18 from purchasing a long gun (such as an AR-15) and anyone under 21 from buying a pistol, handgun or other firearm, he said. The background check can prevent sellers, particularly at hectic gun shows, from accidentally selling a firearm to someone who isn’t of age, Smith said.

Why do I have to complete the background check?
Thanks to the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act, the FBI created the NICS in 1998. The system is supposed to instantaneously let a firearms dealer know whether a buyer is legally allowed to purchase the gun.

According to the FBI, more than 230 million checks have been made by cashiers prior to a purchase and more than 1.3 million denials have been issued since the system was put in place.

So, seriously wondering how this merits arrest and such highly sexual charges? I'm shocked, l will admit.

Former CDC head Tom Frieden is arrested and charged with forcibly touching a woman's buttocks

By Megan Sheets For Dailymail.com and Associated Press 24 Aug 2018
    [IMG]
    • The former Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director was arrested Friday in Brooklyn on charges of forcible touching, sex abuse and harassment
    • He allegedly grabbed the buttocks of a woman he knew in his home last October
    • The 55-year-old woman reported the incident to New York police in July
The New York Police Department says Thomas Frieden was arrested on Friday morning in Brooklyn.

The married father-of-two is accused of grabbing the buttocks of a 55-year-old woman he knew during a dinner party at his home last October.

A law enforcement official told CNN the party was wrapping up and people were saying goodbyes when Frieden reached over and groped the woman without her consent.

The two have known each other for several years, the official said.

The woman is said to have reported the incident to police in July, and the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office interviewed her and found the claim to be credible.

Illegals are not remotely the problem when it comes to violence against American citizens. We have far more to fear from a pissed off white guy with access to a semi automatic than we do some guy escaping a violent country trying to earn an honest living.

Does Mollie Tibbitts' AUNT count as a distant relative??

Tibbetts’ aunt, Billie Jo Calderwood, shared a message on Facebook on Tuesday.

“Please remember, Evil comes in EVERY color. Our family has been blessed to be surrounded by love, friendship and support throughout this entire ordeal by friends from all different nations and races. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.”

The fact remains the GOP and Trump have already decided to use Mollie's murder by an accused illegal immigrant as evidence ALL illegals should be denied access to this country.

That's demagoguery, pandering and hate speech, Trump's forte as a politician.

Generalizing the actions of one person as representative of a WHOLE group of people is why Trump is so dangerous as POTUS.

Also, if the GOP was so concerned about gun reform, why haven't they passed any legislation making it harder for people to purchase high capacity semiautomatic firearms??

Because they don't give a fuck and never did.

You know damn well South Carolina's gun purchase laws aren't universal for the entire country, so why even post that drivel??

There's no federal law restricting gun sales or purchases.

I'm well aware of her aunt's comment. Understand, nowhere did she speak of politicizing it, nor did she ask Trump not to politicize the murder or make this about illegal immigration like you said the parents said. Forget she's not even the parents. The parents have said NOTHING.

The aunt's entire comment was a rebuke of how Fox News and Trump have talked about this story. It was an obvious critique of anyone who would suggest Mollie was killed because a Latino immigrant was in the USA illegally.

Again, mister open-border-to-illegals, as our President, he has every right to decry illegals pouring into our country unvetted. Why ARE YOU so against legal applications?

We have immigration laws, yet despite that, 800,000 illegals pour over the Mexican border every year, alone.(forget fly-ins and Canada's border) That's almost 100,000 illegals every month. No idea who they are.

So, fine, let's just open the Border, like you want, AB. Let them all in unvetted. You can host them in your neighborhood. lol. So can TDK because he thinks the biggest threat to America is White men. Kick the White men out of your neighborhood and replace them with illegals. You win, geniuses.
