Accept a friend request? I tried to do what it said, but nothing happened and when I click on my name to "view" myself and click on friends, it's empty.

On the section where it says "incoming friend requests" click on the avatar of the person wanting to be your friend. Then make sure it says "accept friend request" and then click "save changes". I think that should work.

I may be wrong, too. I mostly send requests, instead of get them. *L* But I believe that's how it works.

I did it! Woot! Woot! So now what do you do with your friends? LoL. Do you just send them private messages? How do you do that? I tried. But I couldn't see the option to do that anywhere.

Nah, there's no private messages on this board. I think it's really just so you can have a list on your profile of who you're friends with. Haven't seen anything else to really do with it! I just put people on my list I either think are cool, or I respect...which usually go hand in hand, anyway.

Who is on your friends list could come into play when resolving incidents between members, determining moderators, etc. It also helps new members get oriented with other members.

What kind of incidents between members? How would they come into play when resolving these incidents? So people who have a lot of friends become moderators? How does it help with getting people oriented exactly? Sorry, it's my MO to ask 100,000,000,000,000,000 questions. I can't help it. I'm very inquisitive.

Helps decipher the relationship dynamics on the site.

No, that is just one factor of many that would determine who could become moderators. Obviously, if all the friends on your list have negative reputations it could have an impact.

Helps new members transition in easier.

I may have to start a Questions with Britty24 forum. :)

Ah, okie dokie. What relationship dynamics are you talking about? How does it decipher them? I know there's one friend who I don't even ever talk to, who just sent me a friend request, and I accepted, because I wanted to have some friends. Now, if I break the friendship I will feel bad. Hm.

Ah..okay, well, I assumed it wouldn't be the only factor, LoL. Speaking of reputation. What exactly does "distinguished road" mean? What's my distinguished road? :smt017

    Oh, okay.

    :smt081 Maybe ;)

You don't have to remove anyone. Friend lists may only be a factor under certain circumstances -- but not the only factor -- and not all the time. It's just one of many tools.

Distinguished road? Where did you see that term posted?

When I put my cursor on/over my little green box. And over/on most other people's little green boxes. And when I put it on/over your box the little white window comes up saying that your's is disabled.

Something else I was wondering. "You" know how when you click on "Members List" then click on "Reputation" and it shows people in order of Reputation, does that mean the one at the top has the highest reputation and so on and so forth?

I have a complaint. LoL, sorry. It's telling me I have to spread some reputation around. Okay, I understand. I read about it. But, I kind of don't like it. Maybe there's not that many people I think deserve reputation and I don't want to just give it out for the hell of it. Like I'm just "rep giver trigger happy" or something. So I'm not allowed to give reputation to the people who I think do deserve it, because I already gave them some before, regarding another subject? So what do I do? Go around and randomly give/spread reps so I can give rep to someone who I currently want to give a rep to and can't, because I already have, on another subject a long time ago? Of course not, I know, that's not allowed. Anyways, so what would you suggest that I do? I'm kind of frustrated. :(. I can understand the reason. You don't want any favoritism or sabotage. And that's nothing like what I'm trying to do. I just think the person deserves rep again. So what do I do?

It's done to make it harder for members to pad the reputations of their friends or crushes. Or to carry out a vendetta against someone else.

You may not do that, but what do you think would happen if all members were allowed to throw (plus or minus) reputation around like candy?
