How often do you jog? And how far?

I usually jog 4 times a week for about 3 miles each time. Sometimes 5 miles if I'm not in a hurry.

I was a sprinter b4. I hate jogging or running. I eat as healthy as I can, take the stairs every chance I get and I walk very fast at my job. I walk to places that I dont have to drive too, and play some BB ball and catch foot ball when I get the chance. That seems to get my cardiac muscle pumping and get blood circulation to vital organs, lol.

Me too GZ. I'm not well suited for running, though I ran cross-country in high school a million years ago. I prefer biking, boxing, and rowing for cardio 5 times a week in the am and weights 4 times a week in the pm.

You know I had to think about that for a minute, I did 5K. I'm too short for speed, but I'm built for endurance and I have really strong legs, so it was a good event for me. Plus my Uncle's farm was 2.5 miles from the city limits so I could run out, swim laps in his pool, and then run home later that night. But I was in an auto-pedestrian accident Sophomore year and totally screwed up my left knee, so no more running after that. But there are other ways to get cardio, and I'm loving the heavy bag lately. I haven't worked out on one since I was in my teens, but the kids got me one for my birthday and I'd forgotten how enjoyable it is, and what a good workout it provides.

4 times a week. 2 to 3 miles the first three days and 6 miles on the last day.

I just walk sometimes when i feel like it ...maybe once a week usually for half an hour.. i don't think i can run i will be dead in a few minutes lol
i hope soon when i can do exercise, still i can't ..i will like to walk more often..
i will like every day but i don't think this will ever happen so if i can manage 3 times a week i will be very happy ..

I'm so jealous of all of you joggers.

I've never had the lungs for jogging/running. Not even when I was younger, could I run for any length of time. :smt086 :smt011

And now my knees are in such bad shape I can't run. It hurts to walk down the stairs. BAH! I'm going to get them checked out when our health insurance switches back to a good company on May 1st.

Maybe if I get them fixed, I can start working my way up to jogging.

One word, elliptical. I bought one for my off running days and it is the best workout that doesn't tear up your knees.

That sucks Bookie. My knee used to hurt constantly until I started taking a new collagen supplement a couple months ago, and it just stopped. In fact just about everywhere I've had a fracture or major injury used to bother me, but nothing hurts anymore. I hope you get some good news from the doctor and whatever is going on is something treatable.

Ah yes, ellipticals used to be my workout machine of choice, when I actually went to the gym. LOL. I suppose I should get my booty back there, see if my knees can handle it.

Me too. I don't want to have to do physical therapy or anything. But we'll see.

At least one mile at a time.

I usually only run as a warm-up for my routine that day.
