I know some of you are probably falling off your chairs after reading the title of this thread. I do have a need to defend President Obama after hearing the scathing attack from Sean hannity this week. I have tried to call into Hannity's radio show last week to defend President Obama on some key points. I will keep trying this week or the next, or as long as it takes for me to get on his show. To call our President a man child, and weak, and incompetent on national radio was enough last week. President Obama has done some good things. To say as Mr. hannity said that he has not done anything right since being President is not right. Aside from keeping the economy from goin into depression, saving the auto industry, keeping our troops overseas to fight terrorism, pushing new technologies for energy, trying to do something about the cost of health care, reforming the financial industry, and reforming education. I give him a B- for effort and not a "F" as Mr. Hannity has given him. Granted there is much I do not agree with this President on, I'm willing to give him some credit for things that he has done. Remember if the President fails so does our country. If i get through and those of you here happen to be on his radio show i will identify myself as "Tiger".
by listening to the hannity show, you only help his ratings go up. I am not sure if he believes in half of what he says but I am sure he is happy with his ratings and the money he gets from the ratings. same with rush and glenn
I beg to differ my friend. I will probably get slam for what I'm going to say, then what the hell. It is important to know and understand your opposition in any field of life. Never shut your mind off to thinking that differs from your own. The jews did that during Hitler's rise to power. They will not again, as we see today. As a black man it's important for us to know our opposition and know what is being said and planned for us. This shutting off your mind to things you do not like will eventually catch up with you and can undermine or control you and maybe even kill you. Sun Tzu would advise you to know your enemy.
He would advise me not to empower my enemy either. I remember listening to the radio about how disney was going to release songs of the south in the theaters. A caller said that he was going to take his son to the movie to show him how bad that movie was. The host said I understand teaching them about racism and know what it is but why do you have to empower them to know about it. You are giving them your money. zippy ta de do da zip to de day Disney's interpatation of a black man working on the plantation. another one is about Obama. Rush Limbaugh has called him the magical negro! Guess who he got that from. A liberal news paper! He uses those words so often. He gets to say it because if you correct him he points out it was a liberal that said it. sad thing is he is right! he got the power from a liberal to make those comments. There are a lot sources to get info about the enemy. Radio is the worse. Mostly republicans listen to it. When you call in, They can cut you off and then talk bad about you when you are offline. You help with the ratings which gets tehm advertisement which gets them money so that they could go to other places and spread their message. Know the enemy but don't empower them.
He's far from alone...most sheeple believe that retarded ass shit. Obama is just a corporate puppet just like the flunkies that preceeded him. The fact the Elites would use a Black puppet should tell you how fucked the Country is.
This particular Enemy is very predictable and let me tell something about the opposition. While many White Americans might never admit to being racist there actions speak louder than words. The fringes of the Tea Party have connections to Aryan Nation and Neo-Nazi groups. This is something that so-called "Independents" are not comfortable voting for. You will see the great downfall of the Tea Party this Nov, they might gain a seat or two, but the majority of these idiots will be rejected by voters. Especially since this is an elections where the cores of the parties show up, not the casual observer of politics. Dems are worried because they feel there's a Enthusiasm gap since you see Tea Parties marching and stuff. I would argue given how moronic they acted during the Health Care Debate, this is akin to Ambulance Chasing by the Mass Media. The Tea Party makes so many over-the-top statements and claims, why not stick a mike in their face? Its also been exposed for being astroturf and not "grassroots" movements, powered by lobbyist groups known for supporting the Republican Party. Nate Silver's and Daily KOS site are the best to follow these treads.
Well said, when you call in make sure you have facts at your disposal to refute Hannity's insane ramblings..this will get you started. Checking up on Obama's campaign promises By Angie Drobnic Holan, Erin Mershon, Lukas Pleva Published on Friday, June 25th, 2010 at 5:49 p.m. Bookmark this article: Buzz up! ShareThis President Obama waves as he boards Air Force One on June 25, 2010. We've been busy fact-checking statements about the oil spill, the 2010 elections, and the national debt, but we've also been updating our massive database of President Barack Obama's campaign promises and rating them for completion. Obama made more than 500 campaign promises during the campaign. We've categorized them according to subject, including health care, taxes , foreign policy, and the economy. We've also selected 25 of Obama's most important promises and categorized them as PolitiFact's Top Promises. We also keep a count on the rating of the promises. The latest breakdown: • 117 Promise Kept • 19 Promise Broken • 36 Compromise • 81 Stalled • 249 In the Works Finally, here's a summary of some of our most recent updates and new ratings. Click through to the full reports for more details and a complete list of sources, with hyperlinks. No. 452, Weatherize 1 million homes per year: Obama said he would commit the federal government to weatherizing at least 1 million low-income homes each year for 10 years. He said it would "reduce energy usage across the economy and help moderate energy prices for all." When Obama signed the stimulus bill, it sent $4.73 billion to programs to insulate homes and improve their energy efficiency. But the program has been slow to get off the ground, so we rated this promise Compromise. No. 59, Invest in electronic health information systems: Obama promised $10 billion a year over the five years "to move the U.S. health care system to broad adoption of standards-based electronic health information systems, including electronic health records." The health care law he signed in March sent about $30 billion to electronic health care records, so he still has about $20 billion to go to meet his funding goal. We rated the promise In the Works. No. 109, Fully fund the Veterans Administration: Obama signed two separate laws that increased funding for the Veterans Administration. One of those mandated that Congress appropriate money for veterans medical care programs one year in advance. So we rated this one Promise Kept. No. 294, Support repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA): Obama pledged to work for the repeal of the federal law that bans gay marriage. Because his support seemed tepid in 2009, we rated the promise Stalled. Later, Obama started speaking out in favor of the repeal and took other steps to advance gay rights. So we moved the promise from Stalled to In the Works. No. 308, Fully fund the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG): Obama said he would roll back reductions in funding for Community Development Block Grants that happened under the Bush administration. His budgets show that he kept his word and raised funding levels. The grants pay for housing projects in low-income areas, provide relief to disaster areas, and other community development and poverty relief programs. We rated this one Promise Kept. No. 433, Sign a "universal" health care bill: Obama said he would sign a health bill that covers everyone, and this year's health care law includes a requirement that everyone have insurance. There's a pending lawsuit against the individual mandate, and questions on how many people will defy the mandate. Still, the mandate is now enshrined in law. We rated this Promise Kept, but we'll be watching to see if the mandate is repealed or doesn't work as its supporters planned. No. 63, Require health plans to disclose how much of the premium goes to patient care: The health care law gave state and federal officials the power to hold health plans accountable for what they spend on patient care. So we rated this Promise Kept. No. 524, Strengthen international rules against commercial whaling: We added this promise recently after readers brought it to our attention. During the campaign, Obama said he would strengthen the international moratorium on commercial whaling. "Allowing Japan to continue commercial whaling is unacceptable," Obama said. We added the promise to our database, reported his administration's actions as part of the International Whaling Commission, and rated the promise In the Works. No. 203, Develop a comprehensive cyber security and response strategy: We looked into new action on the Obama administration's work on developing a cyber security strategy. They're working on a plan, but it's not finished yet. We rated this promise In the Works.
